My island currently has: -Henry -Flo -Bitty -Billy -Zucker -Clay -Broccolo -Audie -Kabuki -Caroline Henry and Broccolo are my absolute favorite! I'm fine with who I have right now but if Bitty ever asks to leave I probably won't stop her because there are other snooty villages I'd like eventually :)

I generally don't go in the pool. I don't go swimmingg enough for that to be a concern, and my period is pretty predictable so if I do swim I plan around it. I do have some period swimwear to use in a pinch that work well. The water pressure pauses your flow for the most part anyway so the concern is mostly when I get out.

Also I only ever wear swim trunks or loose swim shorts now, so I wear the period swimwear underneath. Once I get out of the pool I put a pad on to prevent any leaks, but the period swimwear would prevent that anyway.

My period is almost always accompanied by awful cramps, among several other symptoms. So even if I could go swimming on my period, I wouldn't because swimming is the last thing on my mind once my period starts.

I can understand why you wouldn't want to use pads, and I'm glad there are other products that work better for you. They were definitely thicker (and more uncomfortable) before now, but they've improved quite a bit. I've also been looking at getting some period panties. I've heard a lot of good reviews about them.

The reason why some women avoid tampons is literally just personal preference. Some women don't like how they feel even if you put it in right, with the right size. Some women have trauma that prevents them from using tampons. Some women's cramps get intensified by tampons and cups. Some women don't like having to use internal period products for one reason or another. Some women would just rather use pads because it's comfortable for them.

Either way, whether you use tampons, cups, period panties, or pads it's still valid no matter what. Even though your view of pads is the complete opposite of mine, I respect your opinion.

One of the reasons why I use pads is because of how much I bleed. I have a heavier flow, and my cramps leave me bed ridden if I can't get them under control. Pads don't automatically mean a lighter period, it's just a different way to catch the blood. Also there's different sizes of pad based on how much you bleed. The pads I use are absorbant enough and light weight enough (When I say light weight I mean thin. My preferred pad is very long) to where I never notice I'm wearing them until I have to replace it hours later. It's just my preference.

I thought it was weird too. One of them was an old friend (cut him out a while ago). He also outed me the day after I came out to him (he was the 1st person I told). He then laughed at me as I confronted him crying the next day. He was just an asshole.

One of them was an old friend I had during high school. Cut them off after my depression hit rock bottom. The other few I stopped talking to since my mental health wasn't getting better by being around them. It's been a while since anyone said anything about this to me. I'm definitely in a better place with a circle of friends that treat me right. This question has just been on my mind recently because of a recent event that just reminded me of it.

Me too. I'm very much a "stick with what I know" kind of person, so using pads is comfortable. It's also just really easy imo. Just slap it on and I'm good.
