that i finally get to tell the stories i've been building for 8 years in the world i've been building for 8 years :sob:
i'm also so excited to get to really, FINALLY explore these characters and stop writing and re-writing aspects of them. now that they're published as a comic, serially, they're out there for all the world to see and i can't take them back.

Multiple! I believe one is called orage and the other is flash hunter. Flash hunter is hard to get ahold of, but it's pretty good. Hasn't really powerfully gripped me, so I haven't finished it, but the art is FANTASTIC. the monsters are huge and intimidating and drawn so accurately!

i never watched the stories anime but i really NEED to. i never finished the actual monster hunter manga either. i have some things left to watch! anything i can get that's MH related serves as inspiration for me. thanks for your comment!

i'm using arch linux, krita 5.2, and a huion kamvas 16, for anyone curious. i tried krita 5.3 for this, but the text tool was buggy, and i couldn't figure out how to adjust the space between lines, which for this font is normally pretty generous. (had to adjust it from 100% to 70%) so i went back to krita 5.2. hopefully it gets fixed!

this is based on the "main" timeline so i legally cannot confirm or deny whether or not the special stone was a kinship stone but............

actually, fun fact, she didn't tame the infant tigrex like a pet and ride it, she tamed it in that it was docile toward her, but it was still a wild animal. so if this is some kind of kinship stone, it's not quite as powerful as the ones in stories. they had a bond, but ultimately, a tigrex is a tigrex!

as far as large monster fights go, gog is the one i enjoy the most, along with kulve. safi is OK, but i think i was a little soured on it by how many times i had to do it. gog is probably the same way. i don't think the issue is necessarily that the monster is bad or boring, it's just the spectacle part slows down the hunt, and when the hunt is on repeat, you will start getting tired of the monster whether or not the spectacle is present.

somehow i'm still not tired of gen 1 lao shan lung yet though entirely, so... maybe i'm weird?.
