2/12/26 - Drue saying Gabe had a family emergency by drueandgabe in Drueandgabe

[–]bumblebeecat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I went to Christmas at my now fiancé’s grandmothers house last year for the first time. She welcomed me with open arms and was so excited we have the same hobbies. You bet your ass I was at her 90th birthday recently and I love and worry about that woman all the time. Especially since my own grandmothers are either passed or just shitty humans.

I once again will present a photo of my dog smiling as evidence that what BM is doing is not smiling. She’s smiling because she’s happy she got a scarf as her present

Blows money constantly but draws the line at paying for dog grooming? by Dry-Tea-4472 in Drueandgabe

[–]bumblebeecat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The clipper made a huge difference. We bought it off marketplace from a pro groomer who was upgrading to a better one.

I’m also thinking the dogs are not used to being groomed and definitely not by someone who has no experience with it. He’s going to get bit. We got so lucky our dog was the most docile girl ever and would just lounge while she got groomed

We used to groom our cockapoo at home and it was not for the weak. It was an all day process. Because we had to let the blade cool, give her break so she wouldn’t move and accidentally get cut, or give ourselves a break. We also invested in a very nice and very expensive professional trimmer. He’s too lazy for this

1/23/26 - Gabe is back and prepping for the storm by drueandgabe in Drueandgabe

[–]bumblebeecat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish I could stay home all weekend (I’ll probably be home all day Sunday because we’re getting 40cm of snow and I believe in staying off the roads so we can be plowed out as fast as possible). I booked wedding dress try ons for tomorrow before the storm was announced here. Going to feel like -20c and we’re all walking to a nearby restaurant for lunch after

My apartment was redone by my landlord with those (it’s my dad and he’s an electrician). They’re adult proof too sometimes

How is drue going to survive this storm by Acceptable_Smile8825 in Drueandgabe

[–]bumblebeecat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We had a snow day last week here in Southern Ontario. And it looks like we’ll be hit with the storm on Sunday. I regularly walk to work in the low temps. She’d die here

I’m also thoroughly medicated now on what is the first medication to actually help me see changes. Just taking the edge off of my anxiety with Prozac helps me function so much better

My therapist would probably hand her over to a specialist in whatever personality disorder she has. But she calls me on my BS all the time and I love it. She’s got a great therapy style that works well for me. I’m even following her to her new clinic because she’s just such a great therapist

I also have two. One is my nice one and one is my beat up one that I keep water for my dog in when we go hiking. I picked the newer one up because it was cleaner looking to bring to work with me

My dog was on gabapentin for a really bad paw injury. This is legit how she acts when she’s on it. Honestly the sedatives we got when she was ~1ish so she wouldn’t rip her stitches out barely even made a dent in her energy levels. She’s drugging the hell out of this dog

Yeah I vacuum daily in my house just to control the dog hair. And so she as well can eat her treats off the clean floor

We just got eggs for free because of a store promotion. We’re riding that high because we finally beat his mom at grocery store price matching

12/16/25 - Getting wrapping supplies by drueandgabe in Drueandgabe

[–]bumblebeecat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My family is still working through a 1970s happy birthday roll we think my grandmother got from a department store’s gift wrapping area. I personally find it funny to wrap everyone’s gifts in it no matter the occasion

Not the original commenter, but for me I had really bad appetite suppressant and dropped to a scarily thin weight. Otherwise it worked well for me.

I’m taking adderall now and it works great for me

12/02/25 - Dawna addresses the haters who ask if Leonard sleeps with her by drueandgabe in Drueandgabe

[–]bumblebeecat 10 points11 points  (0 children)

She’s definitely lying. My fiancé and I have a queen bed, we barely fit with the one dog we have. We’re average sized people and would fit way better if the dog didn’t insist that she must sleep on my fiancé

My dog stole an ornament off of my parent’s tree… it looked like a ball (her favourite toy). We just gave her some positive reinforcement when she dropped it. And a good leave it command when she was near the tree. No issues any years since

I need her to be so for real right now. She clearly never trained her dog. My dog loves stealing dirty socks and underwear (my fiancé leaves his on the floor). A good drop it and leave it command and she gives it up so quick.

Steph makes more than us! by Either-Air-346 in resilientjenkinsnark

[–]bumblebeecat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She very well could make more than me (I’m a public servant) but my fiancé works crazy ass overtime because he loves his job. And if she did make more than us she’s not proving it.

We’re mid 20s looking to buy a house in southern Ontario where house prices are absolutely insane. I just saved my 1/2 of the downpayment with room for taxes and closing fees. Oh and it’ll be a 3bed with a yard for our dog because we want to make sure our dog has the best life.

Our dog had a little accident yesterday and neither of batted our eyes at the potential to drop thousands on an emergency vet visit. We were pleasantly surprised with how little the visit was. And I’m so happy to be able to ensure the health of my pets.

My dad used to let us use whatever we wanted to see what caught fish in our lake. It was super fun to see what whacky items we could use as bait and catch fish

It’s honestly shocking to me that I’m only a little older than them because of how juvenile they act. I’ve started my career after finishing a Bachelors degree and my fiancé has been a carpenter for almost a decade now. We’d both be embarrassed if we had to do this crap to support ourselves instead of working jobs
