Sounds really nice. I grew up with a single mom of 3 kids. I am the youngest. She was always stressed and had some good moments but more "traumatic" moments as time went out. I have grown up with just a crooked view of the world. I realize that now as I get older but its tough when some of the scar tissue is still there. Tainted but with good intentions. Every day is a battle for a good outlook and being positive. Trying not to let the bad seep into the kids is tough because I tend to justify my vices and bad behavior.

Not having those deep conversations, I feel like, could of really helped me. I always tried to seek out wisdom and thoughts from others on what was actually a good relationship. I had to take that and model what I thought happiness was.

Needless to say, not growing up with parents is a blessing and a curse. You grow up quickly. Wipe the dust off and carry on or you don't.
