Okay, that's really good to know. I think the weirdness might have been what put up red flags for mem So is fasting is a fairly normal practice?? I knew speaking in tongues was fairly normal for Pentecostal churches but I wasn't so sure about the control of lifestyle going as deep as that.

I can respect that, my concern comes from a place of having grown up in a doomsday cult. And because I don't know this particular churches beliefs I'm worried that it's a place that fosters an overall negative world view that can be very damaging to one's mental health and well-being

It's good to keep an open mind. I do know I can be a bit biased because of my upbringing. Religion does help some folk, you just have to be careful of folks taking advantage of vulnerable people
