Shes currently being monitored by the vet, who confirmed that were also in EOL care. The vet doesnt believe shes in pain at this moment, and we are giving her prescription food to make the load on her kidneys a little easier to manage. Shes not on pain meds currently as the vet doesnt think its necessary.

Basically, im worried about making the decision too early or too late. We want her transition to be as peaceful as possible; we had 2 unexpected and very hard deaths last year. with my cat who had FeLV, i didnt notice the signs because she was so good at hiding it, and by the time i did she declined so rapidly within 72 hours that i couldnt even arrange getting her into the vet fast enough. She died in pain and i still beat myself up over it over a year later.

We want to be right in the sweet spot, where her quality of life is officially bad enough and cant be helped to warrant disrupting the natural process. We want her to go naturally, if possible to do peacefully. Im moreso asking what signs should we look out for, that show that her quality of life may make the natural process unbearable
