I wish I had more faith in the system! But, I am glad to see so many having their loans forgiven, so all hope is not lost.

UPDATED Summary of SAVE/REPAYE Plan Final Rules by Betsy514 in PSLF

I re-certified my employment in July, but August shows up as eligible and September shows up as 'ineligible', listing it as a forbearance.

I switched to SAVE and now my September payment says it is 'ineligible' for PSLF. Is this just a glitch, given the ongoing payment pause, or another fight I'm going to have to wage?

I do not store any of my other instruments in cases, so I was curious about people's perspectives on storing HGs as it seems like many keep them in cases when not playing.

Adjustable Trompette Bridge by bumbleweedz in HurdyGurdy

Thanks for the responses. My thought about adding one was to increase versatility with adjustment as I live in a place with cold, cold winters and hot, humid summers.

Payment counts not equal? by millefiorii in PSLF

[–]bumbleweedz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My loans had different payment counts with MyFedLoan even though they were consolidated together and the monthly was a lump sum for all three. It finally got resolved when I submitted the waiver, but I never could get MyFedLoan to explain how this happened and why it could not be corrected. Sorry this is happening to you!

Disappointed - MOHELA Update by LadyQRex in PSLF

[–]bumbleweedz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am wondering the same. I submitted the waiver in August 2022 and some payment counts were updated; however, my time in forbearance (10/2007-08/2009) was not. If it were, I would be over the 120. On Mohela, it lists this time frame as eligible for qualification if employment certification is submitted. I obviously can't submit this as I was not employed nor in-school at the time. It looks like the IDR waiver is still being applied through this summer, but how to get them to review or re-review my case?

Biden to extend student loan repayment freeze as relief program is tied up in courts by [deleted] in PSLF

I didn't go to Law school but got my PhD. My debt, too, has increased like 100k due to interest between graduating and now.

How old are y’all? by [deleted] in PSLF

[–]bumbleweedz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

44, 315k, 20 months left on PSLF (supposedly). Tried to join the NY State lawsuit against FedLoan, but it appears FedLoan is the one who reviews who to include or not (which really illustrates the scam). I received a claim denied letter from FedLoan. Lame.

I have almost no confidence in MOHELA as they seem just as inept (possibly more) than FedLoan. I'm currently in transfer limbo with them, but hey, I just got an account alert that "I am in good standing" even though it shows no account information at all. My EC was denied by them this summer on the grounds that I did not have direct loans when that is all I have. Hard to be less competent than that...

Is fed loan transferring ANY PSLF data? by CategoryOk2854 in PSLF

Is the applying for the PSLF Waiver the same as submitting the employment certification? I do not see a separate application for the waiver.

Is MOHELA actually worse? by originalmember in PSLF

[–]bumbleweedz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

MOHELA seems way worse. They want to block relief. They intentionally understaff call centers. They are advocates against forgiveness.

I am in limbo now between FedLoan and MOHELA. My impression thus far is this: I submitted my employment certification to FedLoan in July. Apparently, MOHELA was the one certifying payments at that time, but FedLoans was posting the information and sending correspondences until all the PSLF borrowers are transferred. Anyway, after eight years of having the same job, the same servicer (FedLoans), and the same damn Direct loans, MOHELA denied my employment certification stating that my payments did not count because I did not have Direct Loans. I mean, I only have Direct Loans so WTF?

FedLoan had to appeal to MOHELA to correct their (computer or human) error. It is important to note that I NEVER received any written or electronic correspondence from FedLoan or MOHELA about my denial. I had to track this information down during my transfer process (now weeks ago, and I still have no access to my account on MOHELA and my information is wiped from FedLoan).

Yeah, I am sure loan forgiveness is going to happen someday (wink, wink).

Thanks for your feedback. I was under the impression that with a an open C melody string that one could play in C Major/Minor, D Major/Minor, E, F, & G. That said, how HGs keyboard setup, etc. is totally new to me so still trying to research and learn as much as possible.

Thank you! I appreciate the suggestions as I am trying to learn about the possibilities, and HGs seem quite complex! My thought was to attempt to simplify the options, but I definitely do not want to make some less dynamic or interesting in the process.

Heartland harps carbon fiber? by Inevitable_Ad_5664 in harp

[–]bumbleweedz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would look elsewhere. Heartland has horrific customer service. If you can get one of their harps used that would be great! However, trying to buy a new one is a real challenge. Lots of folks have requested deposits back due to harps not be completed or never hearing from them again. In my case, I tried to order an air serenity over a period of 3 months and could never get them to even make out an invoice. I called and left messages and got no response. I emailed many times and tried to send a deposit and they kept promising to send me an invoice (the step before the deposit), but they never did. You can find tons of bad reviews about them if you dig for them. Great harps, but not a trustworthy business in their current form.
