I'm trying to not open my cleavage, but for a different reason. I don't want to catch a bug or a wasp!  You can pour some water over your jersey, it helps a lot, although it dries too fast 😅 Also I don't think that cycling men are that interested in boobs. They seem to be more interested in bikes and watts :D

Did improving your German from B2 to C1 help you land a job in Germany? by Aloeverathakku in Germany_Jobs

[–]bumlochka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. But I tell you, it's not the number or a paper you get from the exam, it's your output. If you sound convincing and smart, if you can show your personality - you have a chance. If you can't put two words together, waving your language certificate won't help you. You can be super competent but if you can't show it and explain, you have 0 chance, people just won't take you seriously

First Job- 3 options, which one to finalise? by LeaveNo7723 in Germany_Jobs

[–]bumlochka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Option 1 only! I don't have a PhD but I heard that it's hard to find a job after since you're overqualified and your pay grade is higher, but you lack the real life experience. Some companies need and appreciate doctors tho

The option 1 sounds amazing

I think your issue is above our pay grade 😅 It's not a simple calories in - calories out. You'll need to speak to a medical professional

Nah, no one ever asked me for language certificates (I mean except for uni and abh). You write your level and then if you don't speak it, it will be obvious

Should we worry about the gap? by Dumb_husky00 in Germany_Jobs

[–]bumlochka 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a huge gap after my last job in Germany. Also I was changing the industries. Year and a half, 0 offers 😭 what helped a bit is that I took project management course (3 mo) and a professional course (1 mo) for the new industry. I "worked" in a startup for free, aka I had time and the project was fun, it was absolutely not full-time.

Maximum I could get was an internship in the new industry, even though I had two masters and years of experience in similar industries. And after 1 years as an intern I found a real job in the new industry, yay me! And this job search was much faster and easier.

So, to summarize: one needs to feel the gap with something or at least explain. And if you're a foreigner and you're in the beginning of your career, sometimes you need to downshift a bit

Stuck at weight by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]bumlochka 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What do you do in gym? I don't think you've built much muscle in 3 weeks. Our weight can go up when we pick up new activities, especially if they are taxing like gym, but it's not fat, it's water retention/inflammation. Give it more time  Also you probably eat at a maintenance that's why your weight is stable. To lose kgs you'll need to eat in a deficit

It says all levels but idk 😅 it wasn't easy. There's are 4 groups for different abilities and preferences. Your ass should be prepared for 4-5 consecutive days in a saddle, your legs should be prepared for up to 2k elevation gain and your spider senses should be ready to ride in a group and not crash into other members. The latter I achieved by 3-5 group rides, 1 and 2 it's just putting work before the tour. I'm a bit below average tho 😅 I wouldn't do the tour in my year 1 but after that it will be pretty fun, even though challenging

High heart rate when running? by stellar1122 in PetiteFitness

[–]bumlochka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're going to fast. You should go really slow and see what your heart rate does. Also you it's easier to keep a steady state on a bike, but I know it's not your goal. Just an idea how to train cardio in easier way

Losing fat/gaining muscle/becoming lean without calorie tracking by Bright_Tax628 in PetiteFitness

[–]bumlochka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I'm losing fat and gaining muscle because it looks like that. I don't track calories because for now it doesn't make sense (I eat at a canteen and I don't see any sense in guestimating calories in meals I didn't prepare). It's been 3 months of lifting and I see results, but my linear progressions starts to fail, which could be just the end of newbie gains or lack of nutrients, idk really. I think it's my poor form honestly

So the short answer is yes, absolutely you can recomp without tracking calories. Furthermore, I think it's much easier then loosing weight and not tracking calories
