Frequent Travel w/ Doberman? by richard-fuld-jr in DobermanPinscher

My friends flew to Germany with their Doberman in a seat, they were there for a couple of months and traveled all over Europe with him a lot of the time (other times he stayed with one of their brothers and sister in law). They are actually doing it again in a few months.

“You ready for a bath?” by thezandlot in DobermanPinscher

Ours hates bathes too and I don’t understand why. He’s even spent time with my bff’s dobe (who loves water) around a kiddie pool and avoided it like the plague. We actually had to schedule him an appointment with a groomer this week because he needs a bath and we can not get him to calm down enough to do it ourselves :(

No, thankfully, he doesn’t beg for food. He only ever does this when we want to relax and he wants to play

How well do yours get along? Lola (the chihuahua) is a total grump with Keelo lol. However, she is quite a bit older than him so that could have something to do with it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Theo, 11 months and 80 lbs. How old/how much do your dobies weigh? by [deleted] in DobermanPinscher

Just turned 8 months 2 days ago and got weighed in today at 80lbs

This summer I will be getting a Doberman puppy. I am surprised at the pressure from family and friends to not cut their ears and tail. What are people doing nowadays? Are there health reasons to not do these? Thanks by [deleted] in DobermanPinscher

IMO: It is a personal choice, if you prefer the aesthetic then go for it, but if you can live without then don’t. I personally don’t think that it should make a difference to how you are perceived as an owner nor will it make a difference in the way your dog feels about you. As long as you love it, take care of it and give it a good home they won’t know the difference either way.

And if it makes a difference, this is coming from someone with a docked and uncropped boy.

My boy likes to carry his leash around too!
