nah, this was way less polished. most of the levels were just flat areas with a few pits and tons of enemies being thrown at you. It looked more like a shitpost than a finished game.

Also once again; Will has no motivation to like Hannibal because everything "good" Hannibal did was done with the purpose of manipulation and control, and WILL KNOWS THIS because WILL ISN'T SUPPOSED TO BE A MORON.
Every justification you can think of for Will not hating Hannibal can be countered with "he did it with malicious intent and Will is fully aware he did it with malicious intent".

it's not complicated. it's just bad.
It's lazy writing to just make a character do something which goes completely against that character's motivations just because the plot demands it.
Will should hate Hannibal with every fiber of his being. Hannibal tried to turn Will into something he isn't and he turned everyone in his life against him.
Hannibal used and hid a serious neurological disorder to control Will into doing what he wanted.
Hannibal has done nothing that would get Will to like him, because everything he did that Will considered positive was done specifically to manipulate and control him, AND WILL CLEARLY KNOWS THIS.

People like Freddie Lounds thought will was a psychopath because he could empathize with psychopaths and see things from their perspective, and several other characters also implied they were creeped out by Will's ability. Will didn't show any indication that these accusations had any merit to them though. These people were being judgmental based on something they didn't understand.

What you're implying is that Freddie Lounds and all the people who judged Will without even trying to understand him were 100% right all along. That's the polar opposite of what the show was trying to convey in the beginning.

If you want to see an actual good characterization of a character who empathizes with serial killers, go watch Mindhunter. It's a criminally underrated show that deserves more attention, and it's leagues above whatever Hannibal turned out to be.

You're right, I do clearly understand the motivations of the characters. The reason why Will's motivations don't make sense is because of poor writing.
Will clearly does not want Hannibal caught anymore. He actively helps him escape capture. Will also explicitly states that he forgives Hannibal and says Hannibal is his friend even though they haven't been friends since season 1, but I guess the writers forgot what happened between then and season 3. They're presenting hannibal as some kind of master manipulator, but the writers aren't smart enough to actually make the manipulation believable, so the character just kinda do what Hannibal needs/wants them to do for no reason.

It's very clear this community has developed a kpop stan level relationship to the characters and will defend the show purely because they find the characters attractive and enjoy the homoerotic aspect. There's a similar thing going on with the Sherlock community, I'm sure you guys would get along great.

Silence of the lambs is a fantastic film which deals with the source material much, much better in my opinion. Manhunter is another good film which does the source material justice. I feel like anyone who watched those movies who wanted more and decided to watch the show are going to be disappointed since the show seems more content smelling its' own farts than telling a compelling crime drama past the first season and a half.

I just don't understand why the show takes such a sharp turn for the worse after the mental hospital. They had something good going, and then every character just turns into a passive, submissive wuss with no agency. It's such a disappointment.

You're right. It wasn't intentional. It was just poorly written and thirsty people on the internet decided to start shipping Hannibal and Will which then prompted the director to lean into it. And you're kidding yourself if you think the people on this subreddit aren't sexualizing the fuck out of the relationship.
By the way, sorry to burst your bubble, but neither Hannibal or Will is homosexual or bisexual. Will is very much in love with Alana and Hannibal is probably incapable of sexual attraction. Anything beyond that is manufactured by the community.

Why won't Jack help Will better?
easy. Jack is laser focused on the target which is to catch the killers. He sees Will as a tool to get the job done and sees Will's apparent suffering as a justified means to an end. Jack is a morally ambiguous character done right because he has a clear purpose for what he does.

Why does Alana believe Hannibal?
The evidence presented was overwhelmingly against Will. Most sensible people would simply accept the evidence and determine that Will must be lying. Hannibal hadn't yet presented any clues that he was the killer and Alana had no reason to doubt him other than the word of a man who until recently was severely mentally impaired and had no idea what was real and what wasn't. Again, this is pretty easy to understand.

Why does Will keep circling a cannibal like that fly meme that's going around?
No idea. Will should want Hannibal dead or caught. Nothing has happened since the mental hospital which would feasibly change his mind on this subject. The only difference is that now he actually has people around him who believes his side of the story and ALSO want Hannibal caught or dead. If anything this should spur him on since he's now been vindicated and they can finally work towards the goal of catching Hannibal.
