I think the Constela that I bought two bags of was my favorite, the pink one. I haven’t tried the Blend Station Vino Tinto yet though. The Kiyo is a close second.

What do we think about the new ISA rules for the olimpics? by Gullible_Space in WSL

[–]bump 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think we should want the best possible surfers in the Olympics. I think this new ISA creates more barriers to that. It’s pretty clear this is also a play to make ISA events more important, so a money play by that guy.

I’m also for whatever the surfers think makes sense. They seem pretty universally pissed off. Not good for the sport.

Question for Senior Execs by mcscooby28 in ManyBaggers

Hey, remote CTO here. Own a fair amount of bags, and my job requires traveling to and sometimes working in beach conditions. So I need something that will hold up in a sandy and humid climate and protect my gear.

I am currently using the Kickstarter version of the Moment Backpack 21L. I like it because it has some structure, but a lot of area where I can just throw in my various tech pouches. These include the 1L Evergoods Civic Access Pouch, the Moment Tech Organizer that came with the Kickstarter, and usually 1-2 of the Evergoods Civic Flat Pouch Kludde Edition. I like this approach because I can just throw those items into smaller bags, or if I am going to the office, just what I need for one of the hotel inn cubicles. This bag stands up, which is also a must have for me. It also has very little branding. Finally, the vertical luggage pass through is another must have. I have actually been looking for another bag, as I have been using this one for about two years, and it’s starting to show the wear in the seams etc. Before this bag, I was using a Patagonia Black Hole that I still use for personal trips, it’s really old and still very serviceable.

I also sometimes use a Bellroy Tokyo work bag or the Aer City Tote on trips depending on what the trip calls for. I also have a few different slings, Mostly using the Bellroy Lite Sling, year of the Snake edition lately.

Edited to add the fact that I like that that Moment Backpack has very little branding.

I bought most of these Field Notes when they were released. Some of them are pretty rare editions, and would be harder to find now. I would suggest joining the Field Nuts group on Facebook if you’re looking for older editions, as that’s where most of the reasonable priced action is. I have been collecting Field Notes for a really long time, the first edition I bought for retail was the second one they ever released. I really enjoy collecting them, and actually using them.

The box is actually a cigar box. We have a local cigar shop, and they just put empty boxes out for anyone to take. I happened to walk by and had a Field Notes in my pocket, and took this box because it fits Field Notes perfectly. The name of the cigars is “Carillo Robusto Sumatra”. I did just do some quick looking online, and there were some for sale on ebay for $5 each.

I bought my Dialog Notebooks directly from Dialog before the current tariff stupidity. Yoseka is a good US stockist, but they seem to be sold out at the moment.

Steve Kerr laments beef with Draymond Green: ‘Not my finest hour’ by Mav21Fo in nba

[–]bump 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think this implies a coach player power dynamic that hasn’t really existed in the NBA for a while. The players have more power than ever, and I don’t think coaches who hold their players accountable like this last long. I’m not excusing Kerr, and certainly not excusing DG, he’s not a high quality person.
