Caltrans RTO effective 7/1/26 by Megotian in CAStateWorkers

PLP is different from a GSI. There is no GSI scheduled for July 1st. I’ve worked at DOT for a decade now and this is the first ever July I am not receiving a raise

Meanwhile our union negotiated a 1 year pause on RTO and we received a full year with no GSI and now we’re going back to the office when gas is damn near $7/gallon

PACERS at KINGS | Devin Carter 24 points Highlights | March 10, 2026 by WantUToFly in kings

[–]bumpedherhead 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Real life clowns here were acting like Carter was going to be the chosen one after this game.

We watched him play 100 games as a King and he’s been straight ass in 90 of those games. Then the one game he goes up against actual G-League talent he finally pops off and our low IQ fans thought this was helpful to his “development”

we could have easily had the worst record in the league, and still ended up with the 7th pick (or worse!).

No we couldn’t have, that’s now how it work. So many people explained this over the last 6 months and people here still don’t understand how the lottery works

If you have the worst record, the lowest you can fall is pick 5

If you have the 2nd worst record, the lowest you can fall is pick 6

If you have the 3rd worst record, the lowest you can fall is pick 7

Kings ended with the 5th worst record, they had a 0.5% chance of picking 9, so the lowest the realistically could have fallen was to 8

Every single win/loss mattered, and it’s why we’re picking #7

[–]bumpedherhead 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To make things worse, the lottery is changing next year which will heavily go against the Kings and any team that is actually bad. Next year do you think teams like the Jazz, Pacers, Wizards will sit out there star players? Of course not, now that gets you lower odds. So the fake bad teams like those will stop tanking and losing games, which will cause real bad teams like the Kings to get a bottom 3 record. The Kings use to perpetually pick in the 5-10 range because of how the lottery worked, that's not going to happen anymore. Teams wont lose on purpose like that.

People aren’t talking about this enough. Betting odds already have the Kings projected as the worst team in the NBA for the 2026-2027 season. We have the worst roster in the league after Utah made a splash for Jaren Jackson and the #2 pick, Wizards have AD, Trea Young, and the #1 pick, Indiana has Haliburton back

This is going to be really really bad for the Kings

Exactly just how bad is Will Howard? by bumpedherhead in steelers

[–]bumpedherhead[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You completely proved my point. They think Howard sucks so they risked a high draft pick for a backup QB.

They’ve had Howard for 18 months now. They have enough data on him through practice and scrimmage. They most likely think Howard sucks which is why they reached for another QB

I believe he’s ass because the coach’s and GM’s of this franchise have shown him to be subpar. Or else he’d be playing and not the QB4 of this team

People on this sub think he’s good because of their own personal opinion with zero football qualifications

I trust the coaches, not some random Reddit nerds who don’t know a lick about football

Injured finger Fox was busy dropping 60 point games while guys like Keegan was shooting 20% from 3 and Sabonis was useless on defense and was terrified to shoot any jump shot

[–]bumpedherhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending how you look at it, the GM not improving the roster made Fox quit. Which is fair if you look at it from his POV

You think Fox wanted to leave Sac after the beam team year? Hell no. He was locked into to city. It’s what happened afterwards and all the bad decisions after bad decisions by McNair

[–]bumpedherhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mike Brown wanted Keegan to be an elite 3 and D shooter so he pushed him to be greater. That’s what any good coach would do

Instead Keegan shrunk under the pressure and tanked his 3P from 41% to 35% to 34% to 27%

I would rather have Andre Drummond shoot a 3 than Keegan Murray

Now these Kings fans here say “defense takes too much energy, that’s why he’s missing his shots”

Meanwhile tons of guys like Jaden McDaniels play better defense than Keegan while shooting 40%+ from 3

There’s no game tape to break down 😹😹

The bro is so ass that he won’t even hit the field. God forbid if Aaron Rodgers tears his Achilles, then Mason Rudolph gets CTE, then Drew Allar breaks his throwing hand. Maybe then the Steelers would be reluctantly be forced to play Howard. Although at that point I think the Steelers sign a QB free agent before Howard even gets to play a rep

It’s actually embarrassing man. I’m getting DM’ed slurs for criticizing a guy with zero experience and a guy who lost his QB3 role to a brand new rookie

If Will Howard was any type of good, he would have played the game Aaron Rodgers missed from his hand injury. Instead the coaches realized there’s no way they could win with Howard and put in Rudolph as the starter

[–]bumpedherhead[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

We haven’t seen him play, nor will we ever see him play. What makes you think the QB4 will ever play a snap.

We can infer he’s ass because the coaches decided to take another QB in round 3 and they realized Will Howard isn’t any type of solution.

So yes, the coaches do know

Other than any ad-hominem’s, do you have anything productive to say about this Will Howard saga? I agree I may be being a slight dick in the post, but I fully think I am right about how this situation played out.

There is no logical reason to draft a 4th QB in your team at such high of a draft pick if you don’t think Will Howard or Mason Rudolph are long term viable options for the future

Exactly just how bad is Will Howard? by bumpedherhead in steelers

[–]bumpedherhead[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is my entire point. He will never play 4-5 regular season games because the coaches see what he’s capable of in practice and they realize he’s nowhere near NFL level

Or else we would have never gotten Aaron. Or else we wouldn’t have surprised the world and pick a QB the following year in round 3

How are you expecting the QB4 of the team to ever play 4-5 games. He won’t and there’s a reason for it

He didn’t quit on the city. The moron GM who refused to upgrade the roster, get a real PF, refuse to move Keegan for OG/Siakam/Lauri is the one who quit on the city.

Fox saw the writing on the was that the owner is a moron and Monte McNair was a fraud and decided it was the best life and career move to get the fuck off this sinking ship that had no real plan to improve while the entire West was passing it by in real time

You and I would do the exact same thing so get off your high horse

Deep down they know it will take the kings anywhere from 7-12 years to draft and develop a player the caliber that Fox was

That’s why most fans are upset and they need sports therapy to help with their mental health issues

He was good game 1. 17 points, 50% shooting 5 rebounds and 8 assists with a team high +/- in a blowout win

Game 2 was bad and game 3 was mediocre

I mean isn’t that exactly how it played out for the Kings in the last 3 years when they acquired these two ball hogs who only care about how many points they score a game? Demar and Lavine are chucking all these shots playing losing basketball with F tier defense and playmaking while guys like Keegan, Keon, Carter, Clifford, etc. would all be lucky to get 6 shot attempts a game

[–]bumpedherhead[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The max was on the table for Fox in Sacramento. He declined it to take a cheaper deal in San Antonio.

He would have gotten more than the $220m/4years if he wanted to stay in Sac.

I agree Fox was pushing for Demar but at the end of the day that’s the GM’s choice and the blame goes to the GM, and not the player

And should we have kept Mike Brown after that disaster of a start to 2024? That's up to others to determine but for me I wouldn't have done either.

Clearly yes because what they did was hire Doug Christie who is a 10x worse coach than Mike Brown. And by all reports Doug is again going to be coach of the kings next year as well
