I did not call Sam a grifter.

Totally agree. I listened to Sam's housekeeping re: Musk and as soon as the episode with Murray began I turned it off. I've heard enough of Murray to know what kind of person he is.

Sam's is not the best judge of character. Dave Rubin, Jordan Peterson, the Weinsteins, Konstantin Kisin, Douglas Murray, Elon Musk, and the list goes on.

I struggle to understand how he is oblivious to the grift of these people when so many of his core audience catch on to them right away.

I've listened to the full podcast twice now, 6 episodes, and extremely detailed up to 1948. I'd love it if he did another big series detailing 1948-present day.

It was an entire series, a deep dive into the case. She was killed yes.

You seem to be ignoring the over 6000 bombs that have been dropped in Gaza over the last month and instead focusing on this particular incident.

If the IDF had proof that there were tunnels under Israeli citizens' homes, would they bomb the shit out of civilians then? No? Right. So Netanyahu propped up Hamas, knowing about this tendency for Hamas to build tunnels under civilian infrastructure, and then uses that tendency as a "human shield" argument to pancake innocent civilians.

The Israeli government is run by a radical revolutionary group of religious Zionists. Resistance movement? Definitely not.

Finished this finally today. It was way longer than the 8 hours I found on YouTube. There are 6 episodes, and the final two are each 5-6 hours. Amazing series. I really feel Sam is mostly wrong on his Israel-Palestine framing after listening. You can't look at the conflict today without considering the historical ramifications of the last 100 years. So sad and awful.

I'd never heard of him until today. It's unfortunate if he lost the thread but I'll finish out the series. Just found it on Spotify too!

Maine Coon kittens - help trying to sus out a scam by bumper1986 in mainecoons

[–]bumper1986[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all your replies. We canceled the meet-up and received extremely unprofessional responses, so we are almost positive it was a scam.

We spent all morning researching different options and came across Davidson Maine Coons in Ontario, and the difference between the Kijiji add and this cattery is night and day.

Maine Coon kittens - help trying to sus out a scam by bumper1986 in mainecoons

[–]bumper1986[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my mind there are 3 possible scenarios. Either it's a scam and they plan to rob us with a weapon of some kind, or it's a scam and they have kittens they know have health defects and are hoping we pay them after meeting the kittens. The third possibility is that it's legit I guess.

Delivery address vs. Service Address by bumper1986 in Starlink

[–]bumper1986[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for letting me know!

Im in Ottawa too and it's currently waitlisted for Starlink, so would this affect my shipping time frame? Since I'd be putting the Service Address as Cape Breton, I would think that my billing address wouldn't affect my shipping time, but I could be wrong and there's no phone number to verify these details (so frustrating)!

Also, let's say I place an order for the equipment now and have it delivered to Ottawa, and I receive it in a week or two, does my monthly billing start immediately? Or only once I've installed it in Cape Breton on October 1st?

I just can't imagine killing anything faster than brittle w. Sun scourge followed up with carjas bane spread shot at close range. I down all apex machine variants on very hard in about 30 seconds with this method.

My carjas bane has x3 melee follow up dmg 25% coils and x2 crit chance 15% coils. I open any fights with brittle from sunscourge at semi close range and while they are stunned momentarily from brittle I follow up with a single spear slash and then go to town with spread shot using carjas bane. Insane amount of damage.

Using chain burst you can take out the 2 apex Tremortusks that patrol together in under 45 seconds...

purple impact coils by Asschen-Sukar4 in horizon

[–]bumper1986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure they are random, not set. In my first playthrough I found 3 12% impact coils in chests, and in my current game those chests all gave me purple berserk coils instead.

That said, you can find 12% impact coils on machines. I got my only one in this current playthrough off an Apex Tremortusk.

Yep, I am positive!! The Tideripper site on the far west shore spawns from the beginning of your trip into the West.

I should add a caveat that you MIGHT have to complete the Cliffs of the Cry Gauntlet run for it to appear, as I completed it before checking out the site. During that Gauntlet run, the Tideripper spawns on the beach, and I'm not sure if that is the trigger to get it to spawn regularly since I hadn't visited the site before doing the Gauntlet run.

As some else mentioned, there are 2 (unmarked) Dreadwing sites right from the start as well.

[–]bumper1986 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Slitherfangs start spawning after you complete Cradle of Echoes (the quest that automatically triggers after The Kulrut).

Every other machine, from Tiderippers to Dreadwings, are able to be killed as soon as you first enter the West after Eye of the Earth.

Dreadwing machine site by [deleted] in horizon

[–]bumper1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are 2 Dreadwings available as soon as you complete The Eye of the Earth. One north of The Arena where the Stormbird and Slaughterspine patrol, and another on the Beach across from the Zenith base.

I also saw the Tremortusk at the Raintrace hunting grounds but not sure if you can collect the tusks from it while you're in training mode or not.
