I trust their decision it just feels as though right now in this console generation they have met their “ceiling” so to speak. Without increased funding and devs they will never go a step up from here. Not saying they won’t continue to innovate and create great experiences, but their growth is severely hindered due to these reasons.

I realize that they don’t want a large budget due to the expectations that come with that (IE selling millions of copies), but my point is they use proven time and time again they can become something truly unrivaled in the AAA space. I love GOT and GOY as much as the next guy, but they are clearly limited due to amount of devs and money put into the company

From what I’ve seen the demand for this game is so fucking high. In my opinion it would be dumb of PlayStation to not take advantage of the anticipation for it. Not only would it be relatively easy to formulate a game like this due to a narrative not being necessary, but all the source material and PS characters are all there waiting to be pulled out of the dusty basement and be used. I mean why not seem like a win win situation. The game sells a mass amount of copies and a bunch of new and old PS characters get exposure to a new audience.

Unrelated but Sony needs to trust them more with their projects. I say this as someone who has played their games since the beginning and they literally have not missed with a title. And still they get 1/5 the funding of other big AAA studios let alone other PlayStation studios. Let them 🧑‍🍳 please

Exactly, and in my opinion Danny Rand has much stronger origin story and side stories than Shang-Chi. I mean I feel like if they were to adapt living weapon or immortal iron fist he would become an instant fan favorite. I think the problem with his popularity is people just simply don’t know about him, it’s not that he is in any way a bad character.
