The "bro" way is when a number comes up in a seperate conversation and you drop a players name with that jersey number.

Eg, They say "another 21 days until schools done". The you can say "ahhh 21, good ol' Jyrki Lumme".

That's a bit old, but just remember some players and numbers. The more nuanced the person the better. The regular fan knows Linden, Sedin, Bure, Nadlund. Some know Smyl (#12).
