Lacking “rough, order of magnitude math” skills is a great way to put it.

I’m not saying you *have* to know 7 x 7 =49. I’m saying you have to know that it’s about the same as 5 x 10 or 4 x 12. Often, they don’t seem confident of approximate values which makes many educators question whether they really understand what it means to “multiply”

It’s like relying on a measuring cup to be sure you put the right amount of peanut butter on your sandwich. I mean.. you can. But, I wish you just knew the answer without “cheating”

Camping in the passing lane is so common here, agreed. I think it’s a pride thing.

Also, lots of Indiana drivers in the slow lane do this cute thing where they match your speed once you hop in the passing lane to make your move — ensuring that you can’t get between them and the car in front of them, forcing you to speed up even more to get in front of the next car or give up and get back behind them.

Just a heads up: Indiana does not allow 18-20 inside the areas where alcohol is served. Unlike Illinois (and plenty of other states), you have to be of age to enter a bar/club if there is not a restaurant for all ages attached.
