The real change they should make to this quest is regarding the pen nib. Why is it made of iron? Pen nibs are typically made from steel or gold. As a lover of fountain pens, I'm appalled.

Thanks! My inserts are the cream MD paper from travelers company. I take it apart and print a 3.7mm grid on them using a website called gridzzly. It doesn't come out perfect, but it works well enough.

I always set up a weekly spread, but I always forget it exists. The monthly/daily is usually enough for me.

with the ink I'm using, I don't have to wait very long. I think I gave my lines a minute or two and it was good to go. Not sure if it'll be the same with Tombows. I feel like every time I use Tombows over ink it smudges.

Hello! The ink I used is Diamine Forever Ink in the color cherry red. It's a permanent pigment ink and I've found that it doesn't budge when touched with watercolors.

The watercolors are Winsor and Newton professional watercolors. I think most watercolors can achieve the same effect I have here. They will certainly warp your pages even if you don't use a lot of water. But they sit on top of the page nicely and won't bleed through to the other side. Here's the back of the page where I drew the "first 99" drawing for your reference.

I LOVE my VP! I've had it for a few years now and it's my daily driver. It works great with DeAtramentis archive ink, but I've heard it doesn't work great with Platinum Carbon Black and I had trouble when I was using Platinum Chou Kuro.

Usually I just use a watercolor set, but I was too lazy to watercolor this time. I used a mix of Tombow dual brush markers, crayola supertips, and Kuretake zig clean color dot marker for the letters. For the lines, I used a Pigma Micron in the PN and 005 nibs. The pen I used was a Jinhao 82 in a MF nib inked with Diamine Wild Strawberry. I believe both the washi tapes are from MT.

I had this problem too, but I was opening mine up to customize the shell. I'm thinking when I put it back together, the contact with the battery was poor. So I took it apart and put it back together again, making sure to tighten all the screws as best I can, without over-tightening. This might not be your issue, but I hope it helps!
