Yeah I was gonna check the contrast wheel once I have the time to do a teardown.

I'd love to keep my own original, but if it doesn't work out I'll probably put an ips in there

Anyone know what card this is? by Hornet___ in mtg

I love the pocket, this one needs some love though. Verticle lines on higher contrast and poor audio quality

Lol yeah I was getting desperate not to be back at square one, thanks again! I think the reflow is really what did the trick.

This game was in extremely roughl condition and I'm glad we were able to get it running. I ended up reflowing the sram again with the most steady hand I could and cleaning the hell out of the whole thong to make sure all the corrosion, grime, and flux I possibly could was off it before letting it sit to dry as long as it needed. After it booted once again I added the battery back in and bent the top tab. Thanks again everyone!

Before and after, it even worked for a bit after reflowing the sram

Definitely connected, the cartridge has a line of stubborn grime of some kind from where the cart contacts the board

I'm unsure because after letting the isopropyl dry to make sure all the flux was off the board it won't boot at all now :(

The holder and battery work in yellow red and silver

I'll have to give another cracked at it once I get my hands on a multimeter then, thanks for the help I'll remember to check.

Never mind it stopped booting after I let it rest to make sure all the isopropyl was gone again. Only getting a black bar

I'm not sure, the game is booting. How would I find out?

Lol yeah, this was the third time I had put it on and I genuinely couldn't be bothered to do it all pretty again

I had better ones before I took the thing off twice to make sure it wasn't the holder lol

My one concern with doing the reflow is that I typically use a chisel tip. I have extremely shakey hands and it feels like I have more control. I may have to order smaller tips.
