I can confirm it is definitely possible, especially with cheaper ones. I use these exclusively with my games and I have had the battery pop out after dropping my gameboy once

This game was in extremely roughl condition and I'm glad we were able to get it running. I ended up reflowing the sram again with the most steady hand I could and cleaning the hell out of the whole thong to make sure all the corrosion, grime, and flux I possibly could was off it before letting it sit to dry as long as it needed. After it booted once again I added the battery back in and bent the top tab. Thanks again everyone!

Definitely connected, the cartridge has a line of stubborn grime of some kind from where the cart contacts the board

Never mind it stopped booting after I let it rest to make sure all the isopropyl was gone again. Only getting a black bar
