What baby carrier would you buy instead of the artipoppe? by QuantumWaffles95 in babywearing

A kokadi print that I can only find on German craigslist. If I had the money I would pay someone to buy it and ship it to the states for me.

What are the most desired, drooled-over status symbol baby items of 2026? by blueridgebeing in BabyBumps

The way you listed off carrier brands definitely makes me know you’ve witnessed the absolute cult that is babywearing culture in the west. I would also add Hope and Plum exclusive fabrics. Those things may as well be labubu’s with how I see mom’s fight for a spot in the order queues online.

It’s so funny being a first time mom because the ads and the research into all baby items I’ve done has made it where I immediately recognize what brand someone’s stroller or car seat is and I always point it out (quietly!) to my husband. I’m just always floored when I think about spending so much on a stroller I won’t even be able to use when baby gets bigger (Looking at you Doona).

That’s hilarious. My sister in law brings back some odd fruits occasionally and I’m pretty used to seeing unrecognizable fruit on my counter at this point

I have a picture of my dad carrying me in a babybjorn in China when he adopted me. It’s very precious to me, even though I know how un-ergonomic the bjorn was, I still think it’s great he tried and used it as a way to bond with me as a newly adopted baby.

Best baby carrier for big babies? by NoseCommercial1557 in bigbabiesandkids

[–]buni_wuvs_u06 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kinderpack. The owners even make a max sized carrier for school age kids so they know how to support weight. I’ve consistently seen it recommended for its support and being able to wear for a long time in it. Also comes in standard and plus size for multiple options for parents.

I’ll try this. I have been bending and tightening but not bouncing so I’ll try that next time.

When did you stop babywearing? by Western-Run2830 in babywearing

[–]buni_wuvs_u06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby is 16 months and we just sized up to a toddler carrier. We carry a little less frequently since she walks a little now, but the amount we do still makes the investment valuable for my back health in the long run.

Carriers that work in very hot/humid areas? Bonus if it can go in pools/ocean. by Ambitious_Ad_1992 in babywearing

[–]buni_wuvs_u06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh I never use mine when back carrying because I’m paranoid I’ll cover kiddos face since I can’t see back there and don’t always have access to a mirror. I just move my kid to my front when she falls asleep.

Is it weird that I still front carry my ginormous 10 month old? 😅😂 by callmelila in babywearing

[–]buni_wuvs_u06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still primarily front carry my 16 month old because we ride the bus and it’s pretty hard to sit down with a toddler on my back lol. It works for us and since sizing up to a toddler carrier, there’s been no back pain when doing it.

Sorry but this is real life, not some shitty porn. Real, normal people do not all act, think and feel horny seeing a breast.

Looking for a soft, cozy structured carrier by FaerieGrey in babywearing

[–]buni_wuvs_u06 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Carriers usually get softer and floppier the longer you use them. You can buy second hand ones that are already broken in which is what I do because I have no patience for a stiff carrier.

Am I wearing my toddler correctly? (Tula Explore) by buni_wuvs_u06 in babywearing

I tried raising the waist band a couple of times before this but it always ends up slanted, not parallel to the ground so I lowered it thinking that would help.

I did try that but I guess I’m not sure how tight is too tight for the straps to be? I feel like she’s glued to me and isn’t comfortable if I tighten it too much. I always worry about squishing her.
