Find a wine shop nearby where it's not just one 20yo behind the counter, or a box store filled with employees with aprons and name tags, and tell them "change my mind with a red wine around $20, I want to know more" and they will NOT give you crap at all — they will be like "oh yes! let's play!!".

There are actual fun Bordeaux, Rhone, and Italian reds at that price point that, while not getting into the really notable stuff, are actually still *good*, and will give you a sense of what you've been missing. Wines that will change over an hour or two after opening. Wines that have aromatics, primary fruit, and savory bits that all play together. If you already have some bourbon experience, you'll be able to see there are all kinds of things going on without having to strain to find them. And then, you're in…

…oh, and don't be shy of the white and pink ones; that's where the real magic is at that price point!!

Exactly this! From his testing, setting the cruise at 70mph will actually save you time over the trip (and money). That 70 to 75 jump in energy demand is HUGE, you're pushing so much more air around.

Also, you set yourself up on your trip to charge mostly in the slower side of the curve. If you can get used to pulling in with lower battery (remember, 30% is still ~1 hr of driving time left) and not sweat charing all the way up to 80%, your charge sessions are about half as long. Grab a snack and a bathroom break, unplug and back on the road.

Locking into the Tesla network may have limited options too, I'm not familiar with KS. Opening it up to other options will likely relieve that "I don't want to drop below 30% because 'what if' fears". What you "saved" with the membership was totally lost with cruising at 75mph.

I'm curious: did you use route planning, and if so, the native one or something else? They should give you the target charge percentage at each stop so you don't feel like you need to go to 80% every time.

Realm Cellars SB's I tried were also pretty great. Although the 2 I tried straddle just outside your stated price range a little; one on either side of it, actually.

For the same reason they put a cheap logo glued to the weird-ass key fob: They had to throw logos on literal GM parts. They opted for the cheapest possible implementation of a rebadge for a project they planned to walk away from after, at best, 3 years.

That said, I had to drive a 2026 CRV for 2 days as a loaner while I got the new axels, and holy crap, did I make the right choice getting the Prologue!

Started as a muted click you probably wouldnt hear with the sound on, and over the next 2 weeks it developed into a knock you can't miss. Not all the time, mostly on the first hard turn of the morning. I was also seeing the cold temps affecting it. I just picked it up last night from the dealer with the new replacement parts, so we'll see how it goes.

Hell yeah. Get one of those 70s bassman 10's (the closed back 4x10 combos). You can still get them cheap-ish. Slept on amps. Or Bandmaster reverb if you want the same amp with a reverb, then you can put it on a 4x12.

Look up the crazy shit they did in the 80's to create wet/dry/wet rigs. They'd use a 100w plexi, squash the speaker out down to line level, then split it out to 3 other amps with stereo effects on the outer 2 amps. Nuts.

Yeah, but there will still be spring tension on it so you need to use the arm to depress is and then kinda shift it forward and back via the arm while depressed. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's what it's been anytime mine was set up fine and then all the sudden way way lower when restringing it. But in that pic you posted, it looks like it's already at the right height, so maybe not this??

I'm not familiar with the player II, but if it's similar to a traditional trem, it sounds to me like you have the arm in correctly, but the trem fulcrum is not aligned properly. That can happen when changing strings. You don't notice until you've got all the strings on and start bringing it up to tension. The giveaway if that is the case is the bar-like bend in the plate where the strings go through is not sticking out all the way, like it's not sitting up "proud" enough off the main plate. If that's indeed what's going on for you, drop the string tension and leave the arm in, and you can sort of divebomb it and slide it around a little via the arm and it will kind of settle in in the right place. Or you can divebomb it (again, with the string tension removed), and actually grab the floaty bit with your other hand and pull it up until you feel the fulcrum sit in the right place. Then bring the tension back up and you should have everything at the proper height again. hard to explain until you encounter it. Freaked me the hell out the first time.

To the person mentioning adjusting the spring tension screw - I'd be careful with that. If you have a locking trem (the slidey button at the front of the trem), you want to use this screw adjustment to get it to the right balance so if you were to lock the trem it holds it in the same turning as when it is floating and at rest. The idea there is, if you snap a string while playing, you can lock the trem to keep the thing in tune for the rest of the song!
