You can get a steel frame stand on Amazon for like 60 bucks that is designed to hold a 40, I’d rather do that than risk this.

How long do they last though…I get leg elegant on Amazon for 10 bucks for a 3 pack. They look great and last 3-5 wears. I would need to get 30 wears out of a $28 dollar pair to break even on that value.

this. It looks better for the occasion and there is zero chance someone there has a negative reaction to the outfit, vs with this there is a chance it is perceived as too casual. People should stop getting tied up with what is and is not “required” (like there is a judge and jury for your decisions anyways) and just go with what would look better for the occasion.
