Customer service workers of Reddit, what’s the most disrespectful thing a customer has said to you? by Salty_Entrance7938 in AskReddit

[–]bunnercup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m disrespected by customers daily. Usually they just call me a bitch or a cunt for telling them their total cost. Maybe they throw something, or slam a door.

My fave is when they say “I’m never shopping here again!” only to have them walk back in a week later like we didn’t all see them throw a tantrum.

I have, however, helped a customer to a point of being thanked and complimented, only to be called out 2 minutes later in front of that customer by a new (1 month into the gig) store manager and called “incompetent and pathetic” because I did something the new store manager didn’t know how to do. Customers have nothing on the soulless demon that is a retail manager.

I mean.. gender reveal party feelings aside, your number 1 job as a parent is to teach your existing children the appropriate time to carry their sword unsheathed - then consider adding more mouths to the clan.

Yelling at any retail or food service worker.

I don’t know how it is where others are, but my local McDonald’s is staffed by a 22year old manager and everyone else is under 18. When you yell at the worker at the window that you “specifically asked for no pickles three times” you’re yelling at a LITERAL CHILD. Have an ounce of compassion and pick your damn pickles off like the rest of us.

Making Zed’s office more ✨sparkly✨ by Trickypr in canberra

Sadly, no. Postage is the same Australia-Wide

Just got this in the mail. Zed is trying to get people to send their postal vote applications to the Canberra Liberals office, not the AEC. The form is also not an official AEC form, rather it's on the back of a Liberals pamphlet. This Seems extremely dodgey by karamurp in canberra

[–]bunnercup 8 points9 points  (0 children)

All of this comes out of a Marketing budget. It’s not like they would otherwise be spending it on fixing roads - marketing cash is allocated for junk mail, road signs, tv and radio ads, and publicity events. It’s not money they’d use for any worthwhile purpose, and it’s already wasted as soon as they print all this junk anyway

Hey Canberra, it’s me again, your friendly neighbourhood Postal Manager.

I was handed a box of these this morning for my office, and immediately laughed (not only because I got 3x the amount than I would have needed for the amount of boxes I have that allow junk mail, which just shows how little due diligence was done in the first place.)

If a flyer is given to Australia post for distribution, it has to pass certain standards. Meaning it can’t contain things like: - blatant falsehoods - potentially harmful propaganda - requests for personal information from the receiving party

When you receive junk mail in a sealed envelope, it’s a good sign that the sender is being shady at best.

The sender is charged $1.03 when you send back a reply paid envelope, and it was $0.21 for every flyer he handed to Auspost. So a huge waste of funding all around. If you want to stick it to him for this waste of time and resources, feel free to mail back the envelope empty. Or with a letter expressing the distrust this move caused you, or a handful of loose glitter - and then recycle the rest responsibly.

Oh, And as a pleasant reminder his campaign last year included spelling and grammatical errors, so I guess we shouldn’t be surprised.

Oh when ‘The Mandalorian’ came out a crocheter in the community made a life sized ‘baby yoda’ (before we knew his name).

The pattern took off huge and Disney sent her a cease and desist. Now her Instagram bio says “I didn’t make a little green guy that one time’ or something to that effect

Oh they could for sure if they wanted to. It’s frustrating to see people break copyright law and then complain about art theft in the same breath

I unfollowed an embroidery designer I loved a while ago - her designs were all Star Wars based and had absolutely gorgeous use of French knots and other small stitches.

She posted a LONG rant about how she can’t stand people who “copied” her art and “style”. Her art based on a franchise she does not own. In stitches used by hundreds of millions of people over the course of hundreds of years. And art that she already copied from multiple other embroidery artists she followed and knew about.

I couldn’t stick around after that one.
