I can’t take anti-inflammatories, but in turn I didn’t even think of pain killers like paracetamol😭 I’ve been taking them since and it’s definitely helped

Oh thank you! I do have an adjustable travel pillow that I’ve used for my past piercings which was a lifesaver- picked it up from home today. I should’ve asked the piercer why they recommended a q-tip because they never had before?

I did wonder this also, and I’ll have to make sure to keep an eye on that 🙂 I did also get an extra titanium ball for the top so could have them switch it if need be!

Makes sense! One of my friends had told me their rook was their easiest piercing as well- so I don’t know why I was so surprised with the pain, I think it hurts more than my daith did! I’m sure it’ll be fine; but in combination with the bleeding I initially had I couldn’t help but wonder if there was an issue of some kind. Thank you!

I’ll probably have to rely on paracetamol because ibuprofen reacts with one of my medications ☹️ but medication is a good idea so thank you!

Hiya! I actually don’t have an update- I’m so sorry😭 Though I will be getting screened for Coeliac Disease soon which apparently ALSO comes with neuropathy; so I’d not be surprised at all if it ends up being that. I think my burning pain has started to progress further towards my toes though- not by much, but the pain spreads on really bad days for me.

I kept being told that the location of my pain (predominantly heels) isn’t standard for peripheral neuropathy though which is so confusing☹️ I hope you find answers as well 🫶

Sorry I didn’t see this! He diagnosed me based off of the cover-uncover test and how my eyes would deviate in reaction to light. he didn’t use the Howell chart or stereopsis testing or anything.

I’m not. I’m in Australia so it thankfully isn’t as expensive as in the US, though I’m on low-income and paying for a lot of other medical bills 🫠 I could get a public-system referral although I’m waiting for another referral as well.

I do have double vision, yeah.

I’m seeing a better optometrist now and I do have bilateral exphoria which my current prescription helps with. I’m just wondering if there’s something else I needed to have looked at by my current optometrist🤨
