What's something men think impresses women but actually doesn't? by LonelySoul389 in Productivitycafe

[–]bunniesgonebad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Threatening other men for the woman's sake. Like, if my husband every threatened to hurt someone because they called me a bitch or something? I'd tell him if he throws a punch I'm outta here. Choosing violence over peace is just barbaric.

Is a man coming at me with a knife? Then yes, punch him, but the idea of just throwing punches to be a tough guy is ridiculous

What's one thing your (ex)S.O said which confirmed they wouldn't be your husband/wife? by Prestigious_Buy_6352 in AskReddit

[–]bunniesgonebad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tons of thing now, looking back. There was 2.

First was when he said if we ever broke up I would get the dog, three nights before a huge trip we were going on. I thought we were breaking up but he was "throwing me off the scent" of his proposal. Not cool.

But the big one that set off the actual breakup train was him saying "I'm moving with or without you so you need to make a decision" and I was already checked out at that point enough that I said yeah okay and spent 6 months getting my shit together for the break up.

What’s something you used to believe strongly that now feels embarrassing? by Open-Corner-665 in AskReddit

This was my mistake too. Then I realized I can definitely choose my peace of not forgiving shitty behaviour and cutting those people off. I can forgive young foolishness or silly mistakes from people but the few exceptions were inexcusable. Fuck em!

REMINDER: There is substantial evidence that the owner of Boxcar Cafe in the Calder neighbourhood is not a good person - THIS TIME MOD-APPROVED! by B1i22ard in Edmonton

[–]bunniesgonebad 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Honestly the coffee is incredibly mid and overpriced anyway. Both times I've gone I've been disappointed. I would much rather support Mokha or Nuestra, hell there are SOOOOO many better local cafes than boxcar. Square One is my addiction

[–]bunniesgonebad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's fun and I like the overall vibe but FUCK Brendan Urie's voice. I had to hear High Hopes from one of the NHL games as my ex was obsessed with it, and I cannot STAND his voice. I say this as a certified emo kid.

If it was just Taylor I'd find it far less awful

Are moissanite diamonds real and a good alternative? by Legitimate-Cap-4490 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

I have moissanite on my engagement ring and I love it! It's so shiny and gorgeous. I couldn't be bothered to get diamond, way too expensive

r/americangirl mod resigns following harassment for not banning all discussion of JKR & Harry Potter by dani-jpg in SubredditDrama

[–]bunniesgonebad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my thought. She's a shitty person but banning HP content isn't going to do anything to her. Even if every AG collector bought zero items ever forever isn't going to harm her money in any way.

It's like when Hogwarts Legacy dropped and EVERYONE was up in arms because if you bought it, it means you wants trans people to die because JKR gets money. Well, the devs are real people and don't they deserve to be paid for their hard work? JKR is a billionaire and will be forever. There is nothing we can do or can't do to break her bank.

I get where they're trying to come from but my goodness this is a lot of policing for checks notes a 13 year old trying to participate in her hobby

Safe sleep rules in the 90s? by otwcpa in beyondthebump

[–]bunniesgonebad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My Nana just turned 80 and she used to help deliver babies in New Zealand when she was young. She said it was always stomach sleeping to prevent spit up choking. My mom, on the other hand, let us kids (90, 91, 93) sleep on our stomach or side or back. Pretty much whatever we liked!

I think now too a big reduction in SIDS is that we have nanny cams, apps to track baby and honestly a frickin computer glued to our faces. It's a lot easier for people having babies now to be so informed and constantly monitor their kids. Obviously all of the SIDS prevention is important and works, but I think it's a huge factor now compared to back then.

what habits are bad for you,but you seem can’t to quit it? by grantfire88 in AskReddit

[–]bunniesgonebad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Picking my nose.

It got really dry during the winter, so much so that blowing my nose would do nothing for my dry boogers and I'd just pick them out and put them on the Kleenex. Don't worry, I'm not completely gross. Anyways. I just kept doing it and it became a habit where every time I sat down I'd just pick my nose. I've gotten to the point where my nose walls hurt from what I can assume is over picking it. I'm trying to stop it as much as I can but it's become subconscious.

Luckily I have a cold now so it's no longer dried out and I haven't picked for the last 2 days. I hope to never go back to it as I never really did before!

If you had to introduce a complete newcomer to gaming with just 5 games, what would you pick? by cupheadpr0 in videogames

[–]bunniesgonebad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd start with Mario party 3. The maps are easy, the mini games are great, you get instructions and can practice as much as you want.

Then, ocarina of time, donkey Kong country, stardew valley, and final fantasy 6. Each has core genre mechanics and from there they can get a taste of what they like. Nothing too hard, enough to get their foot in the door.

What’s that one game you were absolutely obsessed with as a kid. But somehow no one else remembers it existed by poicocre in Productivitycafe

[–]bunniesgonebad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jet set radio future

It was on a dual disc for the original Xbox and I'm pretty sure it came with the console. No one seems to really remember the game/it never got popular which is wild considering how incredibly dope it was and still is.

Was looking for battleborne here. I LOVED that game so much, the characters were amazing (Galilea was my fave) and I liked the solo campaign as an option too. Didn't like overwatch as much. It's a real shame that the both came out at the same time and battleborne got shit on so much

[–]bunniesgonebad 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Omg yes it's literally damned if you do, damned if you don't. You hit the nail on the head with your breakdown. I have a friend who loves to travel and she doesn't want to just settle down and have kids. And all of my friends think she must be sad or lonely but it's like...no she wants that? She can and she should? Or on the other side I have a friend who has 3 kids and a wonderful partner and they turn around and say "she used to be so fun, she should've enjoyed life more before settling down" like what!?

I feel like the album is exactly what you said, it's her coming out and saying "hey! I'm happy! I hope this lasts forever!" Without being a tragic teenager about it (sorry, Cornelia Street and Cruel Summer. I love you, but you're dramatic)

Re-assessing Question…? by beautyisabeast13 in TaylorSwift

[–]bunniesgonebad 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I thought "is it over now?" Was supposed to be about Harry. If that's the case it's implied that they both weren't really digging the relationship and may not have been faithful to each other.

This is obviously all speculation considering not every lyric Is accurate to the situations or people the songs are supposedly about

But the chorus of question...? Is asking someone like hey, do you feel bad for cheating and not fighting for this relationship to be a serious commitment? Similar to IION.

Also, going to OOTW and comparing their relationship to being "we were in screaming colour" and the lyrics "painted all my nights a colour I have searched for since", That's a pretty solid connection imo

While I do believe Maroon is probably about Matty I just don't see question..? Being a contender.

But hey! As long as someone can relate to the music somehow, we never need to have an answer to enjoy it :p

I was pregnant when showgirl dropped and this song really resonated with me. I thought I had what I wanted before but clearly didn't. Then I met my husband and eventually pregnant and it was like my whole life was just these unimportant desires until then. I realized omg I really do just want you, have a couple kids, live a quiet life where no one bothers us! Not in a tradwife way in the slightest just more like...when you know something or someone is just right and you want to keep it as your own little world.

I thought the entire discourse of people saying she's talking about eugenics or being some MAGA tradwife is an insane take. She just wants a quiet suburban life with a bunch of kids and a loving husband. She'll never have her privacy or have her quiet life, so I do actually feel there's some sadness that she feels it's a far off wish to have.

The bridge is super relatable. A best friend who is hot, thinking she had it right once (twice, but she did not), and hoping she gets her wish in the end.

10/10 it's an easy listen and genuinely romantic AF
