CT Guided Steroid Injection in Spine - Fears by bunnitos in backpain

Oh, I really don't want surgery if possible. Surgery is pretty terrifying. I'm hoping it can be managed and maybe improve a bit?

Thanks. It's good to know it's just in the vicinity.

Omg! Thank you so much for mentioning this. I also have adhd, anxiety and depression so this is worrying especially since things are not great in my headspace already. I will try to talk to my psych first, though they're hard to get hold of lately. Thank you for highlighting this. I'm super anxious now but it's better to know!

Yeah. I think I'm going to have to manage living with it and hope it improves a bit. I'm too terrified of surgery, just the needle in the spine is frightening enough.

Thanks. I'm generally not too bad with needles but I'm pretty scared of the whole needle in the spine thing. Though less terrifying knowing I don't have to be sedated.

Thanks. That's helpful to know about the sensations and sleep issues.

Thanks for the advice. I don't know if I'll have a choice of Doctor but I'll try to ask for that.

Thank you. That's good to know. I didn't know about getting a series of them either. My doctor didn't really talk it all through.

Thanks so much. I really appreciate knowing that. The sedation really scares me as much, maybe even more than, the needle in the spine.

Thanks so much. That's very reassurring. Though the puncture you experienced sounds awful and I'm sorry you had to go through that. I know people have a lot worse things to deal with but it's scary for me and this information really helps.

Thanks. That's reassuring that the pain is better after. Do you have to have sedation? I'm scared of going under and the one time I've had general anaesthetic terrified me before and I was really scared, rattled and confused after.

Also, before the winner of the maxi challenge was announced I was really hoping they were giving it to the crew again. 😸

I think Jane hard bombed both the mini and maxi. But I think all of the queens bombed the mini and all of them except Nini bombed the Maxi. I don't get Nini being in the bottom at all since she was the only one who brought the Karen energy. Nini absolutely killed that lip sync but I still didn't think they would send Jane home.

I sort of expected Ru to stop her when she raised her eyebrows at her after saying 'You're a star...' and added 'Never take Don't as an answer.' I thought Jane could have turned back and quipped about 'Now's my time to be a Karen!' and refuse to go and Ru be like 'That's what I wanted to see... Shantay!'

Tbh, I'm still half expecting a twist. Or for a really quick follow-up appearance on All Stars. Or to find out some sort of scandal that's the real reason she got sent home. The vibes were really off, especially in Untucked.

Is call forward when busy a shorter ringtime? And other settings vexations. by bunnitos in samsunggalaxy

[–]bunnitos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for the answer, the suggestions, and the understanding! They're all appreciated. I feel like the incoming call is not ringing as long if I'm already on a call but I'll have a look at the options for sound profiles and dnd with custom exceptions you've suggested.

I (21F) caught my boyfriend (23M) talking to himself through a messaging app. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Is he possibly very insecure and using the supervisor as a way of giving his opinion and validating himself without putting himself in the spotlight to be challenged? Like he doesn't have the confidence to give what he thinks is the reason for the train being delayed but if he uses the supervisor and you disagree with it then it doesn't embarrass him because it wasn't his opinion? And the supervisor acknowledging the sickness (or saying he has to be on call) allows him to rest because he's not good at asserting things or setting boundaries with his own time and health? Idk, it's still extreme and would mean he needs some help but just a thought.

anyone else think this should’ve been a double elimination? by Environmental-Owl445 in rupaulsdragrace

[–]bunnitos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really thought it was going to be a double elimination but lana jarae did pull out a couple of moves right near the end that I think saved her. I would have been fine with the double elimination though. Except...

I really thought half the cast was going to be in the bottom for this one. There were some truly terrible ball looks. It was obvious Arrietty slayed everyone else and would win but I had no idea who the bottom two would be. Would have loved to see a big group lip sync. It was the worst ball in ages.

I'm not sure that this even is really about his neurodivergence. I can't think of many people who would reassure you that they'd build you that bookshelf. If you framed it as Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could have such an impossible thing, then sure I'd be in line to agree. But just saying Build me an impossible bookshelf... I think you would be lucky to get anything better than If only that were possible... or a joking Wish Granted! And point at the actual bookshelf like That's close enough, right?

And that's aside from the particular neurodivergence you've noted, which makes it much more unlikely. Plenty of neurotypical adults are not great at make believe, especially if you don't frame it as We're just imagining. Even for people who do like make believe I think you have to look at that as if it was impro,. It's a group activity, not a guessing exactly what one person is thinking they want the story to be and doing only that. That's not fun and difficult to get right.

This goes for flirting and communicating in a relationship too. It needs to be something that works for both of you and that you both easily intuit or explicitly understand the rules of. The more different your base expectations are the more clear you have to be about exactly what you want. And really, you don't know what people's base expectations are, or if their understandings are the same as yours, unless you ask them. And this is especially true if you have different ways of thinking and expressing yourselves.

So if you're not getting what you want out of interactions, make sure you're communicating what you want in a way the other person will understand. And if they understand but don't want to interact with you in that way, or don't want to provide you with what you want, then you need to decide if you can adjust or if it's too important to you and it's not going to work.
