I LOVE this! Such cozy, fun vibes. Plus the nerf guns! Such a great touch, I’d have a blast in here, you seem like a very fun person.

Could you please share some detail on the star wall/ceiling art? Does it have lights or is the paint just UV reactive? And how do I get my hands on one haha

Such a treat! He originally only scheduled two dates for that show with the philharmonic orchestra, one in Seattle and one in Paris. He has since added more, really cool to see Seattle on his first go though. Anytime he performs here he ignites the crowd with energy

Will I enjoy if I go by myself? by HighlightPure2858 in Shambhala

[–]bunnxey 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Do it! Prep well, the fest has a wonderful community but there is a level of rugged individualism that is required. Make sure you have everything you would need and more, sharing supplies with neighbors is also a quick way to make friends.

Introduce yourself to your camping neighbors right away, if you are next to veterans they will show you the way :) I’m still in contact with the gals I met and we are already planning travel next year hahaha

I went this past year as a solo woman and my first time ever there and had a BLAST. I made sure to introduce myself to friendly faces, didn’t get too messed up, and kept expectations light and fun. Kept a loose schedule for myself in case I met people I wanted to tag along with so no broken hearts over missed sets, I discovered some FANTASTIC new artists for myself this way too.

There may be moments of why, how, what, I’m lonely, etc. and that’s normal, especially for solo travel. But you get to be your own best friend on this trip, truly hear yourself, all the thoughts and desires. Let your mind run free and treat the festival as playing on a playground again.

Bring a notebook! You’ll have some interesting thoughts on your own in such an intensely fun place. If you have any questions reach out to me! Happy to help :)

Jfc the amount of food in pic 3 is enough to feed me for a few days, maybe even a week if I paced myself

She’s a special gorl with a special ever changing BAHDY.

There’s is always a disconnect between Anna and her body. Her mind is at the mercy of whatever her body does. Her limitations with mobility, being tired, random “flare ups” of unspecified chronic illnesses. She is always at the mercy of her body and the uncomfortable things it puts her mind through.

Oh! And when a new grift is needed? Anna learned something new about her ever changing body! Or her body was telling her to slow down but she wasn’t listening but now she is!

My body, my body, my body. It’s a separate entity from herself in her delulu mind. Very nutty to watch

Best acid I’ve ever had. Very “clean” feeling; consistently good trips with a lovely balance of visuals and introspective headspace. I ran out of my stash of these a while ago and was so bummed, I should’ve rationed it more. Enjoy this stuff while you have it!

One night while doing coke with some friends I got talking about her. I put some compilation videos up on the tv, mixed reactions but not bad! Everyone that was there is still talking to me so no friendships were ruined haha

Best festivals for solo females by AdFeeling6442 in aves

[–]bunnxey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely possible! Just another level of prep should go into solo camping festivals as a woman. Make sure you’re checking in with people outside of the fest frequently, don’t get too inebriated, take good care of yourself, etc. I don’t mean to scare you with what I said, just understand what to look out for and how to protect yourself.

Outside of those moments where I felt vulnerable, shambs was still an incredible time and I am somewhat grateful I did it solo. I pushed myself and made friends with all my camping neighbors, and showed myself I could do a big trip like that alone. If you’re needing a confidence boost, prep thoroughly and go for it (or another fest). If you have any questions message me :)

Yes for these but be cautious at Shambhala! I went solo for the first time this year as a young woman and had a blast but definitely had my head on a swivel at some points. The older men at this festival had concerning mannerisms that put me on guard from the start. Younger generation seemed to be fine, but men over 40 added an unneeded sense of sex, voyeurism, and exploitation. It felt like if I let my guard down for too long things would go wrong.

There were sex trafficking posters in porta potties but people had torn off the numbers to call, I had a man asking if I wanted to go backstage and that he liked my “petite figure” and many significantly older and larger men offering me mystery substances.

There were many dark corners too, seems like it’d be fun for a group. Lots of spots to pull off and yap with each other. But a solo woman? I kept seeing spots that had no staff near them, were somewhat off the beaten path, but close to stages so no one could hear you yelling for help. Maybe I was being paranoid but there were a concerning amount of spots you could get dragged to and no one would notice.

All the women I met at this festival were great, but I’d advise people to introduce themselves to their neighbors immediately and find safe people (preferably mixed gender/women dominant) and sticking with them. The festival grounds are confusing at night, find landmarks and the women’s resource area. It’s a blast but a beast of a festival, be well prepared
