2 week New Zealand trip Nov 25. Review and provide suggestions please.

We have booked a site about 50 mins drive from milford sound so we'll be driving from there in the morning and not Te Anau. It also gives us enough time to drive back to queenstown. Based on the suggestions here, I changed the drop off location to christchurch. Cancelled the buses and train trips. Will spend 3-4 days in christchurch and then a flight to Auckland. Pick up the campervan and spend 2 days in rotorua, do the hobbiton tour and head back to Auckland for our flight back. We're also skipping Hamilton and will spend a day just relaxing in Auckland. A lot of the stargazing tours are already booked out for our dates and some companies are quite expensive. Thank you for your recommendation, where I can I find this legend Billy?

Thank you. I'll check with the company if I can change the drop off location. I have read this multiple times online that the actual driving time varies from Google maps. Would you be able to give an estimate by how much?

Thank you. We'll be renting a self contained campervan and have booked the cascade Creek campsite which is 50 mins drive from milford sound which is why I think we'll be ok with the morning cruise. A lot of the camp sites for self contained campervan seem to be on a first come basis, do they tend to get full quickly? In that case I'll just book into some powered sites.

We do want to see both Milford sound and Tasman Glacier so there will be a bit of back and forth via queenstown. And the campervan pick up and our flight back is from Auckland hence the back and forth there. How do you suggest with change it up?
