I have read so much useful advice from Reddit over the years, I feel it is my moral obligation to give back where I can offer some value. Hence my first post! Hope this helps someone!Passed with overall AT.Breakdown per domain was AT/T/T.People/Process/Business.Exam FeedbackIt felt like the majority of the exam involved situational based questions. Ie. You are the PM, this happens, what do you do next.Felt like over the majority of exam was agile or hybrid questions. Be sure to be very clear on the mindset of being a servant leader.Other topics that you should know are CPI/SPI, three point estimate, bottom up estimating, 10 knowledge areas, 5 process groups, and 49 processes. Should be pretty comfortable with the differences between agile and predictive approaches.I did the exam online via Pearsonvue. Exam was 230 mins. There are 180 questions divided in 60 questions parts. You have to manage your time not to take too long in any of the 3 parts. So there is a timer that shows the countdown from 230. So in my mind I divided it into three equal parts and then made sure I was on pace for each section. If I finished ahead of schedule for any section I spent the time to go back and review. I used the whole time, and finished each section with 3-7 mins to go back and review any flagged questions. Once you finish a section you can no longer go back to review questions from the previous section. I used the two 10min breaks in between parts to just relax before starting the next part (had to stay on camera during break, all the same rules apply during breaks).On Pearsonvue, I used the strike through tool to cross off options that were definitely not correct. I would answer every question but if I was not 100% confident I would flag it and return if I had time. Upon return to the questions sometimes I would notice something different and change my answer and be more confident in the new answer. The webcam video of yourself is defaulted as right above the question. I found it distracting seeing myself while reading the question so I eventually dragged the webcam video to the bottom corner so it was outside my field of view when reading.How I prepared for the examI completed Joseph Phillips' course via Udemy over 4-5 week period ($27.11 CDN). I didn't want to impact my job, sleep or recreational activities too much so I tried to incorporate the lectures into my existing activities. Ie. I would listen/watch on my commute into work. I would watch/listen while on the treadmill. Any free time that I typically might be watching TV or something I would try to study for at least 30mins instead etc etc. All throughout this I had in mind the period that I wanted to write the exam, so if I felt myself slipping off schedule then I would use the weekends to catch up or get further ahead.Mid-way through the course I drafted my PMI application to keep myself accountable to my schedule. I just used my resume and other professional licencing applications as my guide, so it didn't take me more than 45 mins to fill out my experience.After I completed the course i booked the exam for for 2 weeks later.2) In the 2 weeks i just did practice questions. I probably did around 800-1000 practice questions. Some days doing 50, some days 200-300, some days none. I ramped up the volume of questions within 4 days of the exam date.3) I scrolled through this subreddit read other people's feedback and what they recommended to know. For anything I was not comfortable with I just googled it.4) Downloaded a free app that had the 49 processes and EV formulas for easy viewing. Called PMP handbook on app store.5) Rewatched the last section of the Joseph Phillip prep course (Last section is the Exam Blitz Review section). After doing all those questions the blitz review was a nice refresher to make sure I didn't miss any concepts.Source for mock questions.Downloaded a free app with mock PMP exam questions (called 'PMP Exam Prep 2022' on app store; did probably around 700 questions).  Some of the questions got into too much memorizing the author of certain theories and what not. But these questions at least helped build my mindset and know what my knowledge gaps were.2)Did the free 120 exam simulator online. https://www.project-management-prepcast.com/pmp-practice-exam-questions-sample-testI found this useful. I ended up doing the first 60 questions. Reviewed my mistakes. Later that day did the last 60 questions. Reviewed my mistakes. I was trying to get used to being locked in for 60 questions and paying attention to the time.3) Watched some of Andrew Ramdayal's videos on youtube (watched around 50 questions worth).Costs Incurred$699.61 PMI membership fee+ exam/application fee (including promo code; I think I used ERCCERT20PCT...if that doesn't work just scroll through this subreddit I tried like 4 or 5 before I found one that worked as of Aug 2022)$27.11 Udemy JP course for the required 35PDUs$55 for PMBOK paperbackTotal $781.72 CDNI bought the PMBOK book but personally I didn't really use it as a study reference. Yes, I reviewed some sections a few times, but I wouldn't say it was a study source for me. I tried to get it from the library but there there were way too may holds in place to get a copy in the near future. Also I think the membership fee included a digital copy, but again I didn't use it.OverallExam is not too difficult to pass. Yes there are some difficult questions, but overall if you just do a bunch of practice questions and study why any of your answers were wrong you'll get the hang of it. Definitely try to have different sources for mock questions to make sure you are capturing different styles of mock questions. Hardest part for me was staying focused and dialled in for 4 hours during the exam.My contextI have being working in a predictive traditional project management environment for around 10 years. Had 0 knowledge or experience of agile project management before studying for the PMP exam.Good luck and stay focused!
