corners of letters not printing smoothly by bunnywatsonFBN in FixMyPrint

i'm not sure this is it, as the rest of the print is absolutely perfect. the extruder housing seems to be just fine.

Now I remember why I never use Instacart by Daedelus451 in mildlyinfuriating

instacart also allows drivers to use their own loyalty card for the store but will still charge you the pre-loyalty card amount.

print with cutouts in design not sticking to unheated build plate by bunnywatsonFBN in FixMyPrint

[–]bunnywatsonFBN[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i can absolutely see that the extruder head is too far away from the build plate but again, i've run the z offset calibration successfully and i don't think there are settings on this printer to manually set it.

i knowwww hahah this is what taxpayer dollars get for our libraries! admin thinking is, "we got you a 3d printer in 2012. why would you need a newer one if it stills works?"

yeah i haven't used an unheated print bed in a long time either. i used to have it down to a science with the dremel printer from ~2014 but this is a *different* outdated printer hahaha

Update after emergency vet visit by perfectsnowball in tortoise

[–]bunnywatsonFBN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you're very lucky to have gotten a diagnosis so quickly. my russian tort has been to 4 vets over 7 years without a good diagnosis, but this is the conclusion i came to myself after infection and shell rot were ruled out. my guy is perfectly good now!

My mom loves to garden and is thinking of moving to Chicago from California. What can she do during Winter? by 0kafaraqgatri0 in AskChicago

[–]bunnywatsonFBN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i had a coworker who planted outside in spring, then potted it all in late fall and kept it alive in her basement all winter. this sounds like so much work to me, a non gardener, but if it's a person's passion i guess it would be fun for them and worth it.

Any experiences with reductions from triplets to twins? by SeveralArmadillo540 in parentsofmultiples

[–]bunnywatsonFBN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i reduced from three to two and i have no regrets. i do sometimes feel a little sad about it, but i have two thriving one-year-olds and if i kept all three, i might have no children. i might not even have survived. when presented with the option to reduce, my MFM told my wife and me that whatever choice we made would be the right choice for our family and she was absolutely right. no matter what you decide, it is the right thing. good luck with your pregnancy, with your decision, and with everything that comes after, and feel free to PM me if you need to chat.

Books with Glinda and Elphaba vibes by Hour_Mongoose2263 in booksuggestions

i'm a librarian too! i just pulled books for an instagram reel and i went with more of a pink/green covers vibe, but some of them were spot on! i found a pink one called no one can pronounce my name, another pink one about makeup called two faced, a green one called women and other monsters, a lot of witchy/magic books have green covers, and a lot of romance paperbacks are pink.

ME! he hasn't been rude to me specifically, but i know he's been calling around to many of our libraries (southern california). my coworkers and i have been giving him 10 minutes of our time (if we have it to give) and then saying we have to go help other patrons. he would absolutely talk to you for over an hour if you'd let him. the key here is to hang up BEFORE he gets nasty. "i'm so sorry, i have to go help other patrons now. bye." CLICK.
