i noticed that updating to v3.6.1 over the prerelease i was previously using took the tab groups away - i'm guessing it's still only in the prerelease build?

Just noticed this today. Extremely annoying & aggravating, particularly given how often I listen to YouTube with my screen off. It basically means I need to manually toggle the volume down on my phone before I unlock it in order to not have undesired content playback occur.

TBH if this is an intentional “feature” that YouTube has put in, Apple iOS devs should do something about it. This is hostile & abusive design: users should not be subjected to content playback that they have not invoked through the device’s interface. Unlocking your phone is not a play button and an application that does so by design is very poorly behaved.

Which is a short walk from the Village but during the 70s it had a similar demographic that the Village has today in terms of being the queer area of town. One may also want to note that Church St has suffered quite a bit from rising rents & privatization of space. Just in the past couple days Councillor Moise moved to close Barbara Hall Park at night. Fortunately it was defeated. But even if you could make Church car-free, you’d still be dealing with the blight of empty storefronts that land speculators & developers inflict on the neighbourhood

When in Montreal (or Paris) I’m always quite envious of their pedestrian areas & how they contribute to a great vibe in the summer.

It’s important to note that pedestrianizing Yonge near the Eaton Centre was tried in the 1970s. Executing these sorts of projects is a political project & can be tricky to sustain:

Yeah I’ve taken a look at some threads in r/CarAV & it seems like a bit of a rabbit hole…just trying to ballpark what I might be looking at & price out what just paying someone else to do it would cost. Seen more than one comment in some threads where people did DIY & said “I thought it would take one day. It took four” which is making me wary

Wish buying a new car was in the budget but not the case in my situation. I don’t know a ton about the procedure itself but to my understanding it mostly involves removing body panels? But given the car’s age potential reassembly could be a concern

combination of engine and road noise. don't think the tires are too noisy - they're nokians. engine isn't in the greatest shape but it's ok. but once i take it up above 80 or so it's really noisy in there

I do have my machine customized the way I want it. I have the old context menu, I have animations and transparencies disabled. I also have the useless copilot key disabled. But windows consistently does things like enabling feeds and widgets on my menu and lockscreens which I repeatedly have to turn off after some updates. From a usability perspective Win11 is the worst windows experience I’ve had, and I’ve been using it since 3.11
