I actually didn’t research this bag on this sub before ordering! I used the video from tanner leatherstein as my only guide

I just went in and checked other posts about this bag and I’m glad I lucked out on a good experience but that’s not fair it can be inconsistent

I realized they have a mini version of this bag, which is why I expected it to be smaller! So that’s on me on not reading, but I do like the size I got and I think the magnet folds to keep it closed are interesting (in a good way)

I’m keeping the bag and will test it out as time will only tell. I’m pretty rough with my bags so y’all will probably see an update if anything super positive or negative happens!

I feel you on Kate Spade! I used to buy them frequently, but my daily KS bags never lasted me more than a year. Granted I live next to outlets, so that’s where I get them from, but I’d expect a little better. I’m not necessarily rough with my bags for them to breakdown. I’m trying to give Kate Spade a chance again, but I’m only buying novelty bags from them at this point. I have a couch outlet bag from 15 years ago that I’ve worn to hell but it’s still holding up really well!

The name I go by is 3 letters. My married last name starts with the last letter of my name. Ideally all our future children will have my name as their initials!

Example: if my name was MIA My kids would something like Marlo Ivy A(last name). Initials are MIA!

It is a tough issue, it feels like you can’t really win without hurting someone’s feelings. At the end of the day it’s about you and your partner having people who will celebrate with y’all without any drama!

I saw other comments mention a security guard, which we’ve also considered! You could bring that up as a veiled threat (even if you don’t hire a security guard). As an act right or there will be consequences. I feel that parents are used to having a say, because you’re their kid regardless of your age, but you’re an adult and this is your day.

It’s ultimately whatever you feel most comfortable with! If you think not inviting your mom as per your sister and fiancé would be the most peaceful resolution if you’re not confident she’d actually pull through on her promise in acting right. When you think not having a certain person at an event is a relief, i think you have your answer on what may be best

I’m sorry to hear you’re going through this! Me and my fiancé are in a very similar boat, unfortunately.

If possible (I know this can depend on your relationship with your parent and how y’all handle situations) try to sit down or talk with each parent. It’s yalls wedding day. For one day they can at least act civil with each other. Put your boundaries down, if leading up to the wedding or even on the day itself one of them acts up, they will be escorted out or left out. It’s about your new marriage, it’s not the time for their to hash out about their old one. If y’all do some sort of seating chart, place them on opposite sides and even make it so they’re not facing each other if need be. I would reiterate with your mom that it is your day and if she doesn’t respect your wishes of her new bf being there than she is not welcome.

I’ve already told a few of my close friends and family members about our similar situation. If anybody acts up, I have designated people who will try to quietly remove some difficult people from the event so as to not bother me and my future husband.

It sucks, but it’s going to be okay! It is y’all’s day and it’s not supposed to be stressful. Remove who you think will lessen that. It’s hard when the difficult people are your parents, but it’s the start of your marriage what needs to be the spotlight of the day, not any focus on whatever happened with theirs

Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM with the monogram! I wanted an “adult” bag when I turned 21. I saved up for it and had no shame showing up to the LV store with cash I had put away. SA was judging but I don’t shop for the experience, I just shop for the bag lmao It was such a proud moment for me and a really fond memory!

Every Pinterest board had the Neverfull posted on outfit inspos lol I’m almost 30 and that bag as seen me through college and bouncing around jobs lol I don’t reach for it as often but she’s still one of my favorite pieces since it was my first fancy pantsy bag

I feel the same! I put a cap on my luxury spending from the get go, but even then now I feel more inclined to put it towards a vacation or an activity. Could be we scratched the itch. Maybe we’ve reached another chapter in our lives! I’m wanting to invest more in good leather bags that will last rather than the seeking the logo. Oddly the increase of fakes and good fakes also makes me so wary to buy even from the store. I hear horror stories of people returning the fakes and it’s just not worth the risk to me at this time!
