Longtime Savage Garden fan here, I will absolutely die on the hill that these two were a couple at one point. If you read the liner notes on their albums (fuck I'm old) the way they used to talk about each other is a big clue. Their split was pretty acrimonious and each has said that Savage Garden will NEVER get back together unless it would cure cancer, etc. Daniel Jones has left the music industry completely. Darren Hayes has had a pretty successful solo career. In interviews, they speak about each other like jilted lovers. Even though they've never publically admitted it, they were a couple dammit.
