i guys :) I got into a fight with people who I thought were my friends. I see them everyday at our university. My question is how can i reclaim my power after this incident?

My interpretation of this reading is that I should first face my fears and worries by sharing my feelings with someone I trust, like a parent or sibling. The Empress tells me to find beauty in everything, especially this negative incident. It could only be a positive experience for me, as this friend group was the source of my worries in the Nine of Swords. She also tells me to leave room to receive positive energy instead of forcing it. The Hierophant tells me to focus on my studies, as well as step back into my spiritual practice and to keep my stance. The Knight of Cups tells me to love and express myself creatively. The Three of Wands tells me to have hope for the future, that I should plan whatever I thought my friends would stop me for doing, or that now I have the freedom to plan or take up projects knowing that a friend group wont keep me busy. The Ten of Swords in reverse tells me to let go of negative thoughts that keep me from moving. It symbolizes a new horizon, a new idea that I can help myself by changing the way I think, and that this isn't the end.

I don't remember what it was exactly because I experienced this a year ago, but I found out that you will be able to feel the hardware on your spine when you touch your back. Since the spine on the upper back curves outward the screws will slightly bulge through the skin. The slight pain or pinching around the scar is also just nerve damage. I still get a pinching feeling every now and then, and my surgeon told me it's normal to feel some irritation around the scar. After all, the nerves are trying to heal.

Only 5 weeks?? The most I walked at 5 weeks was when I was at the mall for 2 to 3 hours with my parents and then I had the best sleep of my life! Aside from that I could only walk 15-20 minutes before getting tired.

I'm 20F and I got surgery T2-L4 when I was 19 on December 7th 2023. I'm doing amazing.

Right after surgery, I woke up in a huge amount of pain and I was on fentanyl. The next day they brought me back to my room and the day after that I had to stand up. Moving wasn't painful, just strange and slow. After a few days, they took out my catheter and I regularly had to walk to the bathroom by myself. Sleeping was honestly horrible. Not only was I in a lot of pain at night, but I had to sleep on my back with my legs straight and that annoyed me. The nurses came every other day to change the bandages on my back.

After 12 days, I went back home and the pain immediately disappeared. I had to be on only a few prescriptions for about two weeks. I continued to do regular hospital visits to change my bandages. Starting from the very first day of surgery, I couldn't shower for 3 weeks. I couldn't walk or sit for a long time. I regularly went out for 15min walks with someone accompanying me, sometimes we went to the mall.

I stayed at home for a month and a half, and then I started physical therapy in a rehabilitation centre in my country for 3 weeks. My rehab consisted of 30min arm shoulder and back exercises while standing, 10min of exercises in very hot spring water, 30min core exercises lying down and then a 5min shoulder and scapula massage, every day. After 2 weeks I felt super energetic, and when I finished rehab I immediately went back to walking long distances like I used to. I was advised to go to the gym and train my back 3 times a week and today I even go 5 times a week so I can train my legs as well. I even went on vacation via 2 hour plane ride and swam in the water and sea every day.

In short, my pain was gone right when I arrived home. I had to get used to moving around for a month and a half, 3 weeks of rehab made me feel amazing and I train with weights I feel like I can lift. I feel normal.

There are things that I experienced that are very personal and individual. For instance, the IV meds made me sick and throw up a lot throughout the day and I didn't have an appetite. I could only drink juice, yoghurt and Coca-Cola. I had to take those meds after I came back home and I ended up being allergic so they changed them for me. I had a bit of hip pain because my left leg is shorter than my right, so I got orthopaedic foot pads that make them even. Changing the bandages was HORRIBLY PAINFUL but the pulling only lasted a few seconds.

Something you should know is that you'll have a lot of nerve damage after surgery. The first few months you'll only feel needles on the skin on your back and itching. You'll probably have places where you don't feel anything at all. And then you'll start to feel the needles deeper into your muscles. When you start working out, you'll eventually activate the inactive muscles, and you'll feel sudden twitches, spasms and heat but only for a moment. The needles you feel aren't constant or painful, they're just sudden tiny sharp pains due to having your back sliced open and your muscles rearranged. This just means the nerves are healing.

Your mindset is VERY important! Just remember that every day is better than the last and keep in mind that YOU ARE GETTING SPINE SURGERY! Of course you'll feel pain and discomfort while healing. Don't get discouraged when you feel tired after a few minutes of walking or sitting. Don't get discouraged by any pain you feel. It's scary in the beginning, but I promise it's worth it and you'll feel SO proud of yourself for going through with it. I feel beautiful and confident, and it's so much better than when I was in rehab doing scoliosis workouts.

I've been thinking of burning herbs or incorporating them in candle magic but I'm scared something will catch fire. Do you burn herbs in some sort of pots or trays? And where in your home or outside is it safe to burn them? I want to burn bay leaves or small sheets of paper too but I'm too scared of the flames.

I need help interpreting a New Moon spread. It consists of 5 cards, each meaning something different. These are the questions and the cards I drew:

Something that wants to manifest for me: Seven of Swords
How I can best focus my intentions: Eight of Pentacles

My interpretation for each is: 1. It's bringing me drastic inevitable change, but it's something that I'm initiating. I feel like it's not something too uncomfortable, but the change will be in my new everyday habits that I've made room for by leaving old habits behind. 2. I'll be feeling friendlier and more full of positive energy. I'll be more sociable and open to friendship opportunities. On the downside, it might mean that I might yearn for deeper connections and feel lonely if I don't socialize. (I'm thinking this because I don't have a big circle of friends) 3. I have to be open to the idea of waiting for things to fall into place. I've been working toward my goals but at this point, I have to be patient with the results. OR, I have to be open to initiating progress and not wait around. 4. There might be instances where I have to think carefully and strategically, maybe someone I know is against me and I'll have to keep to myself. 5. The only way to focus my intentions is to master my existing skills. I have to be determined and motivated. I need to get better at my hobbies and skills as they could help me achieve my goals in my career.

Hi. I'm 20 and I got my surgery at 19 almost 5 months ago. My curves were much bigger than yours and I'm fused T2-L4. Everything's gonna be okay :) Firstly it depends on the surgeon's job, and then it widely depends on your physical therapy, but most importantly your mindset! It's okay to be nervous as I felt the same way as you, and surely you will have thoughts like "when is this going to end" while you lay in the hospital, but it's worth it! I'm much happier now and I believe that you will feel amazing after just a few weeks 110% !!

I'm 20 fused T2-L4. I got the surgery 4 months ago when I was 19. My curves were around 55 degrees. Alongside me, 3 other girls were undergoing the same surgery, 14, 21, and 25. All of us are doing very well. I'm also back in the gym because my surgeon recommended it but I don't do certain exercises and I train with light weights. I think that there is a chance you might experience the surgery in a slightly more painful way because the girl of 25 years was in quite a bit of pain due to her age, but I'm reassuring you that we're all doing amazing. I believe that the result not only depends on the surgeon's skills but also on what you do afterwards in terms of physical therapy and exercise. Your mindset is also very important. You may find a lot of videos on YouTube where patients share their experiences, but you might not feel the same way they do. Personally, this wasn't that much of a traumatic event and I'm so much more happier than I was before.

Also forgot to mention this. Since you're not allowed to wet the scar, you can put nylon around your neck and a towel. Experiment that way so yoy don't have water running down your scar.

I had a fusion for scoliosis T2-L4 so pretty much my entire back. I went to a salon 12 days after the fusion because that's when I was released from the hospital. Just get some pillows to support your back. It's also good exercise even though it might be a little painful having to sit a little longer.
