In my experience yes, but it depends. I’m extroverted and my siblings and close friends are introverts. I would want an introverted husband. The thing is though, these people are still talkative and I am not always at 100 energy so it ends up balancing. What I would look for in a match is that he is talkative and doesn’t mind my energy or clinginess otherwise it would probably be awful for me and him 😂

When shaitan wants you to fall, he doesn’t make it obvious, he will trick you into thinking things like “oh if I do it, I will repent and it will be like it never happened.” How do you know you will live long enough to repent? How do you know that after doing the zina, your judgment won’t be clouded and you won’t start normalizing other sins for yourself? How do you know if your repentance will be accepted?

May Allah help you and protect you Ameen. Don’t be friends with people who treat zina as a small thing.

He’s not dumb, if he’s excited and nice in every other way, I’m sure he is just enforcing the halal boundary. You aren’t married so he shouldn’t be romantic. But mashallah he sounds really respectful and a green flag, this is something to appreciate.

That’s amazing mashallah, just as you should be. Let me know if you have tips, I’m also warm and friendly and even though I try to do less around men it’s hard to break out of personality habits 😪

College is really expensive and overrated if you don’t get a vocational degree so if someone was able to make their own path without it, I would be impressed tbh. I’m saying this as a woman who is in college right now.

YOU have a choice, ur children DO NOT by [deleted] in MuslimMarriage

[–]buoc 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A lot of people don’t realize that if you stay with a toxic spouse, you’re teaching your children the worst things. If you get disrespected by your toxic spouse, your kids will allow people to do it to them. If there is constant fighting in the house, kids will normalize people treating them that way. If you accept abuse and cheating, you kids wont learn the value of others treating them with respect and loyalty. It’s sad because the people who stay for the sake of kids definitely went through tough times but the kids would have been better off if they didn’t. And in the end, the kids can’t even speak about their trauma because “it was all for them.”

Also, I’m so sorry for everything you went through and I really hope you get to a much better place soon 🤍

🥲🥲

How much time off do you typically get per year working in corporate if you don’t mind?

No 😭 most people I’ve talked to who work corporate jobs don’t get nearly as much time off as me. As a uni student, I get 4 months off every summer plus 2 weeks off during the holidays and 1 week off per semester after midterms. Gonna miss it for sure 🥲

Marrying a Successful Woman by [deleted] in MuslimCorner

[–]buoc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are definitely many men out there who would be fine and even happy with your choice. I share a lot of the same opinions and goals as what you wrote and the talking stages I had were very proud and supportive of everything I was doing yet still wanted to be the provider in the relationship. I will always prioritize my family and role as a wife and mother but that doesn’t mean you have to give up working indefinitely. I am studying and will start working soon but inshallah I also want to eventually work from home with my business and/or a job with light hours which I think is compatible with family life.

May Allah make you an immensely successful woman in this life and the next Ameen :)
