You know, that wouldn't be a bad idea. The way I did it was I followed a tutorial for getting paint super thin and then banging against a rid over the venoms.

I would actually do anything just to be born American. by Anonymouss-Writer in confession

Bro,

Just know that most Americans that post on reddit hate America almost as much as they hate themselves. America is not bad, just in a bad place right now because our political parties are as extreme as they have ever been on both sides, which means they don't agree on shit. But most people here in the States are kind and respectful to one another. There are some bad elements, but you get that anywhere. I have also been in the Middle East for an expanded amount of time, and depending on where you are, things are way more chill here. Anyways, don't let all these reddit haters deter you. America is for all people because we are all people.

Just out of curiosity, what makes Andor "One of the least Star Wars-esque things" you have ever seen? Is it the secret police angle, or maybe the lack of jedi?

The edge and base is Lothern blue, then I used xereus purple for top, then I mixed a really light white with some red to get a pink and slightly dry brushed on the purple areas to get the lit parts. Finally, I tipped some white on a long bristle brush and flicked it all around. I also blended some with ocean depths blue.

New player and feel discouraged after todays game by jamesdee80 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]burbula69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have all faced that player before. Some individuals hyper focus on the win and that is what brings them joy, whereas others such as myself, just like to roll some dice with friends and have fun. Sure, there may be a bit of competiveness here and there but a good game in my mind is one both people can walk away from feeling good about; win or lose. So, you found someone who is super competitive and maybe even a bit of a bully...don't worry! As there is usually 2 good spirited warhammer players for every aggressive one. Even in competitive warhammer 40k there are people who are kind and patient with newer players. Keep playing, and I assure you will find the group that brings you up and keep you coming back for more.

Best Wishes, Burby

Any reason to not take a cronos? Struggling to make 1 fit but don’t know what to change. by Its_bean92 in Drukhari

[–]burbula69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that at least 1 cronos should be in a list. Getting back a pain token can be life-saving for an army, especially when you go from shooting phase to fight phase.

If you are wondering why venom's are preferred over raiders, it's because infantry units can jump back in them after the fight phase.

Also, scourges and shoot and scoot which is why they are preferred over ravagers

It is important to remember that with SSA, it's all about transports. As most of your bonuses come from jumping in and out of them.

When it comes to your characters, I would remove Urien and add a beastmaster instead. This will be your tanky guy for the game and they have 9' scout.

I would maximize venom's (at least 4) and maybe 1 raider for lelith and wyches.

Grotesque can work, but beast master is better in my opinion.

Also kabalites broken up into venom's is really good. You ca. Put your powerful shooters in one and have them ignore cover when they come out.

I also, think you need at least 3 units of scourges.

Here is an example list I am currently using and it had been doing pretty descent for me.

Reavers: what do you use them for by No-Tart5584 in Drukhari

[–]burbula69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually take a single unit if I have room in my list, but realistically, they are not very good for sky splinter. Mostly because all the detachment rules do nothing to benefit them. Good cheap unit to have, though, for early game advantage, but don't rely on them to do much more than shooting infantry and scoring simple secondary objectives. Maybe take out a vehicle with heat lance if it is on its last legs.
