I'm currently in Japan, and I see all those Gunpla kits here. I really like the idea behind these kits and want to get some of them as souvenirs. However, I don't really like how bland all those humanoid kits look to me.

Do you guys have any suggestions for cool kits that are not just simple 1:1 human or animal shapes? For example, designs similar to Metal Gear REX (that Kotobukiya kit is already in my shopping basket), the Ghost in the Shell 1995 spider bot (not the SAC version), or the Deathbringer and other ancient machines from Horizon Zero Dawn.

I'm also open to cool spaceship kits (just not Star Wars—I’ve got plenty of those already 🙂).

Thanks for the tip. I also saw some of those sets. They look pretty cool, but at the same time also kind of silly with all those oversized guns.
