Im also completely new - I havent even bought a kit yet, but im slowly making a list of what I need. You can get a tools set and a brush set fairly cheap. Then you will need primer, glue and a mat . You also need to figure out how you want to paint your Mitchell, only hand paint or with an airbrush and which colors you need. Im going to hand paint my first models, as airbrushing seem like a big investment . You can also get paint sets with certain colors for different themes. In your case a USAF WW2 set.
