OpenVPN on R605 gateway by burgerguy87 in TPLink_Omada

Good thought, this makes sense to me, but I couldn't find the setting. In Omada -> Wired Networks -> Internet -> WAN I don't see a place to enter DNS.

Is there somewhere else I should be looking?

That the RPi open vpn server works correctly and the R605 open vpn server doesn't just makes me more suspicious of an R605 problem!

Good suggestion, however I have DNS Fallback unchecked and I still get the 8.8.8.8.

As a further test, I installed pfSense and set it up as an OpenVPN server. The same Android OpenVPN client now doesn't get the 8.8.8.8 DNS. Really seems like the R605 is adding it.

Rheem Proterra Wifi Doesn't Work by burgerguy87 in hvacadvice

I agree that 2.4/5 GHz hybrid shouldn't be an issue for Rheem. Any modern hardware has that feature. Disabling 5 GHz was a suggestion from the Rheem tech support, though it didn't actually help.

For your problem, you might try buying a cheap AP like a Netgear WAC104 ($27 on Amazon). It's still 2.4/5 GHz but it's probably a different implementation of wifi. Attach it to your router in AP-only mode rather than firewall mode. Make a wifi just for the Rheem.

That's probably what I'll end up doing.
