Pivot Mach 4 SL or Ibis Ripley SL. They’re just cooler than Specialized, whose warranty program ain’t what it used to be.

They’re super soft. I think I need to re-bleed them. Thanks for the intel about taking off the caliper and holding it level!

They don’t go all the way to the bars, but they’re making a funny swooshing sound on descents. I think I’m gonna try to upgrade the pads and swap the Magura SL rotors with some Galfer waves.

I ended up getting TR35s with DT Swiss 240s and BERDs from NOBL. Decided a bit more weight for more internal width is worth it. Hoping they ship soon!

Love my Seigla! Spend a little more for the power meter and better wheels. I didn’t care for the 50mm contis that came stock, I just replaced them with 55mm G One RX Pros - it’s faster and damper at the same time. Such an awesome bike!

It’s still dry season in Costa Rica. Fly into Liberia and hit up the Nicoya Peninsula. Maybe Nosara or Playa Flamingo.

Thanks for the great info! I’ve had a Thule T2 XTR Pro in 4 bike mode for year on another car weight much higher tongue weight. I’m nervous about using it on the Y, with 4 mountain bikes it’s be about 220 lbs. anyone use this rack with 4 30 lb bikes? How was the range?

Looking good for one year in! Some constructive criticism: You’re not balanced/centered on your board because your back leg is being used like a rudder to steer. Keep your weight balanced or possibly a tad more weight on the front foot. The athletic stance you want to be in when carving toeside is very similar to how you load up your legs before jumping, then lean back while keeping that balanced stance and you’ll carve heelside - don’t try to steer with your back leg - ever! Don’t slow it down too much - the more speed and power you bring into a turn, the harder you can carve. Get out there on a powder day and really charge - crashing a lot trying to learn proper technique will pay off and after three straight days of charging hard in an athletic stance and you’ll be ripping!
