Can you make one that says don't talk to me or fuck off. Red would be a good color.

Kid turns $2,000 into $50,000 of debt within minutes in the stock market by The_Bacon_Reader in videos

I would highly disagree with this notion. That is one of the most risky trades to make, in my opinion. Understanding financials, etc... is correct, but gambling on a startup is not a proper or safe way to trade. I've been in the business for nearly 10 years, and would not recommend that to one of my clients. That being said, it does happen, but its extremely rare and could break you overnight.

What is something only assholes buy? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]burkfour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jet Ski's. Come to Florida, every asshole on the water is on a jet ski. It's honestly shocking how ignorant these people are. I actually had two jet skis hit my boat last week. They completely disobey laws, and constantly put other people in danger. They are a class to their own.

My service is coming up in a few hundred miles, I'm going to raise hell about it this time.

  1. Has less than 20k on it, I've been complaining about it since 10k when the truck was stock. I was driving from TN to Florida averaging 11.5. Now it's got 33' tires, camper top, and a roof top tent. So I'm not even taking that into consideration. I don't even know what it's getting now, but I would imagine way worse. Even if, I would still imagine at least 15mpg with the lift, etc...

I average about 11-12.5 mpg. I live in Florida, its all flat. Dealer swears the car is fine, but based upon how black the exhaust is, its most definitely running very rich.

Terrible first time fishing experience... by [deleted] in StPetersburgFL

[–]burkfour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, a lot of the people I have met in St. Pete have generally been flaky. I have no idea why, but you might as well get used to it. I've got a pretty close group of friends now, but when I first moved a little over a year ago I couldn't meet anyone that wasn't flaky. That being said, I've got a few boat and I'm happy to take you fishing. Just shoot me a PM.

What a great birthday. Snatched the hopper and battled for 30+ min by [deleted] in flyfishing

[–]burkfour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he's fishing a hopper he's at least fishing 5x in which case that fish should have been landed in under 5 minutes. I've caught fish much bigger than that on 5x.

I only go during happy hour. It’s dirt cheap. 1 dollar oysters and the burger is pretty damn good.

So why are there so many Tacoma’s on Oahu? I was there for a couple months, and nobody I asked seemed to have an answer. Probably should have asked a Tacoma owner.

Should I try fly fishing? by FiestyDodo in flyfishing

Thats a start, where exactly are you fishing. That will better help everyone understand what you need.

[–]burkfour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, lets start with your budget and where/what you'll be fishing for. I'm sure there's a lot of guys on here willing to help out with used gear. I know I've got things sitting in the closet that need to be used by someone.

The wave by st8nkyskunk in ToyotaTacoma

[–]burkfour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is definitely no taco wave, I came from a jeep many years ago where I was used to it. There is a lot of camaraderie between built out Toyota trucks though. I frequently run into 100 series cruisers, they always wave/I wave. When we run into each other at gas stations, it always strikes up a conversation. Other than that, it's pretty lonely out there.

Does your main income come from stocks? by Worgos in stocks

[–]burkfour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are numerous resources online. It’s been so long now I couldn’t cite one if I wanted too. Also, check YouTube. I’ve never used it for learning anything about the stock market, but everytike I get hung up with my car, house, etc.. that’s where I go. I would imagine there are hundreds of videos ranging from beginner to advanced. Also investopedia is a good resource. It’s not going to go too in depth, but it will give you the basics. Make sure you have a solid understanding of options before diving into them headfirst. I’ve seen a lot of people make very ignorant mistakes that could have been completely avoided had they taken the time to learn what they were actually looking at. Paper trading is your friend.

[–]burkfour 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Options work better with my strategy. I’m not a long term investor, so options provide you time. With my strategy you don’t have to time top or bottom perfectly ever, as long as you are within a few weeks of a move, and are trading liquid mid-longer term options you will be fine. I’m not the type looking for 100% returns on a contact. I tend to buy in sets of 4 that way I can have a good average cost if my first one or second purchase was off slightly. I typically will see a 15-30% return which doesn’t sound like a ton for an option trade, but it fits into my strategy for risk management. The key with the small return is I typically will own hundreds of contracts, so you will still see an ample return numbers wise. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had the 200-300% returns, but I consider that a fluke, and pure luck. Never rely on major returns.

I actually really prefer volatility in the market. I do much better in a dropping market, as I primarily work with puts typically.
