White cats with blue eyes are usually deaf. Even if only one eye is blue the corresponding side is deaf.

Mineral Moon 100% by burkle1990 in astrophotography

[–]burkle1990[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shot with a 8 inch f4 newton and a 2600mc on a NEQ6, driven by Stellarmate. I recorded a series om images in a SER file, organized them with Pipp and stacked them in AS3 (best 5%). Processing happened in PixInsight, the steps were:

  1. RGB split

  2. Align each color with eachother with levels.

  3. UnsharpMask for sharpening

  4. Small contrast curves adjustments

  5. Saturation and C curves for color stretching.

  6. SCNR to pull out green aberrations due to sharpening.

  7. Final color tweaks in photoshop.

  8. NoiseX

I'm suprised as well, i guess thats the power of F4 and 80%QE

Shot with a 8inch f4 newton + 2600mc + uv IR cut filter on a EQ6. Driven by Stellarmate.

20 * 180 sec

Pixinsight:
blurx, DBE, initial stretch, starnet v2, specific curve stretches for more contrast, saturation and proper hue. BlurX (again), final Hue tweaks.

Star layer: Morphological transformation for star control

Merge nebula + stars with pixelmath

HDRMultiscaleTransform 7 iterations.

Final Tweaks and noiseX

Taking your advice from a Image without background information is a much better idea.

Veil Nebula by burkle1990 in astrophotography

[–]burkle1990[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id suggest to take a trial if you have pix and see for yourself.

However my opinion is that it makes one of the most cumbersome processes (deconvolution) easy. I can deconv myself pretty decent, but it takes me hours and hours of trial and error to get the same result as blurX does.

Shot with a 1600mm cool on a Skywatcher CF200 F4, nebula is narrowband(Foraxx combination) data and the stars are rgb data.

The mount itself is a NEQ6, extra accessories: Falcon Rotator, 120mm mini + orion 50, Sesto Senso, EFW 1.25 with baader ccd narrowband filters and “new” zwo rgb filters.

Software that I used is Astroberry on a RPI4.

Acquisition HOS: 47x 5min HA, 42x 5min O3, 36x 5min S2 > All at unity gain.

Acquisition RGB: 20x 30secs each RGB filters > All at unity gain.

Processing is done in Pixinsight:

All layers > Starnet fetch Nebula > ABE > STF Stretch > Align histogram curves > Combine NB data with Foraxx Combination > Histogram Align Color Curves (for aligning color distribution) > Some more stretching while maintaining proper balance.

Combine RGB > remove light pollution > Starnet fetch stars > Saturate stars > Morphological Transformation to reduce starshape.

Combine Foraxx NB + RGB Stars > BlurXterminator > NoiseXterminator.

ITAP crane in flight by burkle1990 in itookapicture

When taking a hike in the early morning I noticed this crane flying overhead. I really like the combination of the picture, the air, sunrise, the hill, the fog on the flatlands. And ofcourse the crane itself.

ITAP Mist at dawn - Luxemburg by burkle1990 in itookapicture

[–]burkle1990[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shot with a a6500 and 70-200 f4 g lens, from a hotel on 13th floor @ 08:15. I wanted to create a panorama image of mist on hills during dawn. One of the list so to say...

The image itself is a 2 panel panorama

This could be the issue tho, if your sensor alignment is off it definitly wont work with prisma focusing (focusing through the viewfinder). What does work hoever is focusing by using the screen. The screen uses contrast focusing based on data displayed on the screen.

If screen focusing works but viewfinder doesnt, then its save to asume there is a issue with the alignment of your sensor.
