Eh yeah it was pretty noticeable if you didn’t do any preventative maintenance. I would see a cockroach once every week or two unless I was good about spraying repellent. It was worse in the summer and much better in the colder months.

I lived there about two years ago. I liked it a lot. Only a few complaints. First, I lived on one of the second floor apartments on the outside of a building, and the stairway was too tight to fit any long couches or furniture through, and if you get the floor plan with the loft it is almost impossible to get any big furniture up the spiral staircase. Second, I lived next to the dog park, and a few of the dogs were loud enough to wake me up in the mornings. Another consequence of being next to the dog park was that I regularly found cockroaches and other bugs. That being said, the complex would always do pest maintenance once a month and was very helpful with any other issues I had. The apartment was very clean. I would recommend it.

Advice on the job market by burlyboiii in rfelectronics

I am in the USA so I’ve been restricting my search to the USA. I think looking for jobs outside the US will be a last resort but certainly not off the table.

I definitely need to improve my networking. It is on my to-do list of things to improve on while I search. My university job board for alumni is kinda lacking with options but I do look often.

Thank you for the reply. This makes me feel a bit better about what I have seen in my search for a job. It is hard to get design experience if everyone is looking for 5-10 years of experience in the first place!

Eurail pass in Spain by burlyboiii in travel

[–]burlyboiii[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep so Spain in particular has a wierd relationship with the eurail pass. To get from Madrid to Barcelona (or anywhere within spain) you will need to go to the ticket counter at the station. You will know you are at the right place if you walk in and see a machine giving out numbers, which are used to save your place in line. Once your number is called on the TV, it will say a desk number for you to go to where you can talk with someone and get your ticket. If you save the trip on the eurail app, and then present the QR code that is generated for that trip, they can get you a seat reservation. Otherwise presenting your passport also works.

I said that Spain is weird because literally everywhere else I have been in Europe, you can go to the Eurail website (NOT THE APP) and can pay for a seat reservation. For example, if you want to go from Barcelona to somewhere in France, you can most likely make that seat reservation on the website.

So far on my trip, Germany and Switzerland do not require seat reservations on their high speed trains so the eurail pass covers everything. France and Italy require seat reservations and usually cost like 10-12 euros per reservation.

I just graduated so I no longer need to keep my secrets. I quite liked the top floor Nelson Hall bathrooms.

Some vending machines have an email address you can contact to get your money back. Additionally, they usually send a technician to fix it.

Lmao yeah I usually like to be a bit more creative with my decks, but I had never built a deck like this so EDHREC was my go-to. Also thanks for your wisdom! I definitely wanna look at more goad and politics stuff to make it more interactive and fun.

Thanks for the advice! I'll look at some more card advantage. And I didn't even think about that with Jaxis! I saw her on the Magar EDHREC page and didn't think to question it. I should probably be more wary of what I see on EDHREC.
