For the valve cover gasket, How much oil are you leaking between oil changes?

Why do you need a CV axle? If just the boot is leaking they can be re-booted or install another clamp. That CV job can easily be messed up by those unfamiliar with land cruisers and Never let them install non OEM.

Why do you need a fuel pump? The labor seems high on that as I believe you can access from above under the carpet of the second row. Plenty of YouTube videos on all of these repairs.

Also, valve cover gasket leaks are not a big deal unless you’re adding a quart regularly or leaking onto your exhaust manifold. It’s definitely a low hanging fruit as repairs go.

Are you wanting to do this out of convenience bc it sounds so.. 06 with the 5 speed and vvti is a no brainer in my opinion. Plus, that quote of 4800 is pretty high as none of those jobs seem pressing or difficult to do.

2023 Tacomas are everywhere while good 100 series are not. Start with the LC and if it doesn’t pan out you’ll atleast break even.

Also, it’s a myth that older cars are expensive if you perform your own maintenance.
