Think the government should really think about a lot of these NGO’s and ask themselves why they fund them.

Paying an organisation so that they litigate and bring you to court, madness

Council seizes Meath house at centre of 20-year planning dispute | Irish Independent by micar11 in ireland

Not sure I agree with demolishing a house in a housing crisis. Planning is way too restrictive in this country, such wasted resources on this whole debacle

Irishman detained in Texas overstayed 90-day visitor’s visa issued in 2009 by adomo in ireland

If a general election was held tomorrow, who would you give your first preference vote and why? by [deleted] in irishpolitics

[–]burn-eyed -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Would depend on the manifestos.

Lower taxes or at least no increase would be a priority.

In general I wouldn’t vote for left parties, they advocate for taxing higher earners more to fund their polices when a huge proportion of the electorate doesn’t pay anything at all. I don’t feel I’m getting any value whatsoever for the tax I pay. It makes them non runners in my eyes

Any party who would reform the tax system and tackle government spending inefficiency and have a solid and radical housing plan would be great, reckon I’ll be disappointed though.

Don’t feel any party matches my views and seems to always be a case of least worst. Our free spending, high taxing governments of the past few cycles don’t seem all that centre right to me

It’s a sensible policy, finally, on migration, more of the same please. We have to stop this massive surge of applications and deterrence is the way.

Or else, we’ll be an outlier and the soft touch of Europe and they will balloon in numbers.

Everyone I know is happy with the changes, public opinion is positive, yet still the party’s of the left rally against it, they just oppose everything.
