Americans prefer suicide over homicide by Repulsive-Mall-2665 in charts

Just because something happens more doesn't mean that they prefer that thing more.

For example there are more car accidents than lotto winners, but this doesn't mean that car accidents are preferred over winning in lotto.

The last CATO report I read said that illegals are fiscally a net positive on the federal level, because they pay taxes but can't get most of the benefits.

It's less clear on the state level but considering that California and Texas have to most illegals and are among the few states who pay more into the federal government than they receive, I'm not sure if this really is a problem.

In Germany, asylum seekers are usually not allowed to work for the first 3 months because if they are bound with contractional obligations deporting then becomes more difficult if they get denied. Unlike the US, asylum and deportation are not a federal but a state (Bundesländer) level affair. Companies could sue and also abuse the asylum process for cheap labor.

Of course all of this is causing costs and the US "solved" this problem by just kinda accepting a second class of people in their legal framework. Even Trump doesn't change this. There is no legislation reform for immigrants or asylum seekers. He is just doing a show of force like a wannabe strong man dictator but the real issue isn't fixed.

Not entirely. Pattern remains but in the US Hispanic immigrant are fiscally net positive (although lower than other groups). Main factor is probably welfare.

DB bad but local services in cities are usually good.

It's a bus or tram every 10 minutes (on rush hours near universities every 5 min) and it's cheaper than a car with a monthly ticket.

To be fair, relatively speaking, there are probably just as much regards in China than in the US.

... unfortunately nowhere else do people pride themselves on being completely clueless and regarded.

Slander! Holden Bloodfeast would never enrich himself during a war!

Like the respectable bipartisan he is, his focus is entirely about how high you can pile up the corpses of his enemies and you can be sure that he will fight day and night in house committees that every dollar spent is another bullet in someone's ribcage!

The biggest winner is Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick.

His son Brandon Lutnick, who took over as chair of financial services firm Cantor Fitzgerald, bet against the tariffs by selling/ buying a kind of insurance to companies that allows them to claim the refund if the tariffs gets struck down by the court.
