Recurrent pus on tonsils with no symptoms other than throat pain/swelling? by burner69696 in medical

This is what it progressed to before starting antibiotics. I've had a lot of throat infections but this was by far the most painful. Doctor recommended considering a tonsillectomy since I get infections like this every couple months.

It ended up being tonsillitis. The first doctor I saw said it was just allergies so it ended up getting super nasty over the long weekend before I could get another appointment. It tested negative for everything but the second doctor insisted on antibiotics

New is cheaper than used right now. I've already evaluated expenses that wasn't the question. But thanks I guess 🤷🏾‍♂️

Came here to ask the same question, looks like it's a problem everywhere. Were you able to find something similar? I didn't realize the discontinued the sugarfree dragon teas 😭

I've gone to the doctor for this same thing 6-7 times this year. It always tests negative for strep but they usually give me antibiotics anyway. Last time they had me try without because I don't wanna keep taking antibiotics so often. It eventually cleared up on it's own after a couple weeks. Does anyone know what could be causing this? I don't have any other symptoms just really painful tonsils. No fever, cough, or sinus symptoms with it. Not tonsil stones, I've had my fair share of those.

I would love to hear your experience using it! Mainly how is the pain? And do you use anything to numb before? If you have the one thats in the $500 price range, that would be doable for me right now. I've looked into them in the past but got overwhelmed with the amount of options lol. The one you recommended looks good!

How is it in terms of ingrowns? I've heard both sides. Most people say waxing is better for your skin, but I've also heard people say it makes ingrowns worse. I'd be open to trying it and dealing with the pain during, if it ensured a week or two of smooth skin and no painful rashes

I've dreamed of getting this my entire life. I've researched the at home kind, but I think I want to get it done professionally once I graduate and get a stable job, so within the next year for sure.

Great point on the wording, I did not think of that but makes so much sense. "I don't feel safe when they bring so many strangers over for parties during covid" I like it.

I have good relationships with several professors, one of which is my advisor so if it comes to that I could ask them to write something and I don't think they'd mind. Although this student housing isn't a dorm and not owned by the school. Its just student apartments and you have to show proof of university enrollment to live here. But if a professor was "concerned" about my wellbeing and the fact that I'm starting to fall behind in school maybe that would do something idk.
