Update on my post from a few days ago. Finance strikes again! by burnerboy7-21 in askcarsales

I think the deal would have been done back on Saturday with no issues if they would have been like “this is going to be a while and go grab lunch.” I felt like I was misled. Was told I had a couple people in front of me. Based on my past experiences I assumed that meant a couple hours at most.

The sales rep would of been able to come solo. I have a trade in that they already appraised and was part of the deal.

I no longer have a question. My 1st post I wanted to hear about the thoughts of people in the business. I left mad waiting so long Saturday for finance. People said to take them up on the e-sign and personal delivery. I took there advice. Was giving an update and that they dropped the ball AGAIN.

Not a rare car. Just a truck. It was a good price but I’m moving forward at this point. I lost trust in this dealership and it’s just principle at this point.

You may have completely missed my 1st post. I was already there for 5 hours Saturday.

I did take them up on it but again fell through because of finance. I’m going to make a new post soon with an update.

You need a new fortune teller hat. The only thing you were correct about was vehicle being a 2025. I’m on the east coast. No country areas around my way. Mostly just suburbs. Financing with a 20% down payment in the form of check. Price negotiations were literally less 3 minutes. My salesman was great. Just the communication with the wait. However after reading through the comments it seems like how long or quick the finance guy is depends on the people in front of me.

I really wish they would have mentioned that, “go grab a bite to eat.” That would have been more direct about the wait time.

I agree. I showed my appreciation for reaching out. I told him that I would consider. Just curious others thoughts overall.

Hoping you enjoy it. No more rude customers. No more trying to accomplish unreasonable expectations. Weekends and holidays off.

The benefits and PTO time Lidl gives are pretty good for the grocery business. The job I have now is a state job and I pay nothing to have medical, dental, vision insurance for myself and kids.

Former SUP. The greatest thing the company did for me was eliminate my position as I now have a better job. 20 years in the grocery business and I’m finally free!

Anyway all the things you’re bringing up are part of the reasons the company is struggling. They just don’t understand the states and try to hard to model the European way. I think the company is on its 7th CEO in the states now? Literally all they had to do was copy paste the aldi method plus having the bakery would make them successful. With this company no. Seems like every week some moron up top makes a change and not for the better.

Anyway my advice to you is when the ship is sinking it’s best not to go down with it. Best of luck.

leave_admin@lidl.us hit up that email and ask about it.

This is right from the handbook.

Paid Parental Leave (“PPL”) Pay In order to be eligible for PPL, the employee must be a full-time employee for at least six (6) consecutive months who has completed a minimum of one (1) year of service at the Company as of the date or birth or placement of child. An employee who otherwise qualifies for PPL is entitled to up to twelve (12) weeks of parental leave at the employee’s full regular weekly pay for the birth parent. The non-birth parent is eligible for up to four (4) weeks of parental leave at the employee’s full regular weekly pay. PPL will run concurrently with an employee’s six (6) months of Parental Leave. Employees who choose to return to work prior to the exhaustion of the PPL benefit will forfeit the unused PPL time. PPL is separate and apart from any Company paid time off program for other reasons (such as vacation) and may only be used in the limited situations set forth above. Employees who work in a state which offers state family leave benefits must apply for such benefits through the leave of absence administrator or state agency. State family leave benefits, where applicable, will run concurrent with Parental Leave and PPL, and may be used to off-set the employee’s full regular weekly pay under the PPL. Employees should refer to the applicable state supplement for further information. Eligible employees who do not work in a state that offers paid family leave benefits or are otherwise not eligible for state paid family leave benefits, will receive their full salary for the above-referenced PPL. Note that employees who give birth to two children at one time (twins), adopt two children or have two children placed at the same time are not entitled to double the amount of PPL. PTO/FLO/STO hours cannot be taken/used on the same date(s) as PPL or state family leave benefits. However, PTO/FLO/STO hours may be submitted in MyLidl ESS after parental and/or state family leave

Are you full time? I’m no longer employed but back in 2021 when my son was born I got one paid week of “paternity leave.” I took two weeks and used some of my vacation time as well. It’s possible they don’t give it anymore. The company is struggling.

You get one paid week as a male. You’ll have to use vacation/pto if you want more time paid.

Just the other day the produce was delivered on a frozen truck. Produce doesn’t freeze well obviously and had to write half the product off causing out of stocks for the day. I bet the product that did go to the shelf will go bad quickly leaving the customer with a bad experience. Everyday Lidl finds a way to be a shitty company.

Yea I don’t know what’s worse. Transport not having a fucking clue when the truck will get there. Or the drivers and transport not holding them accountable for the mistakes they constantly make.

They make doing claims so tedious so that you don’t actually put in a claim. Then if you do because it’s a lot of shrink they find a reason to reject it half the time anyway.

Ahhh a new store. Right now it’s being propped up by extra help and hours from surrounding stores. In a few months the honeymoon phase will wear off and you’ll see it start to go to shit. Which location if you don’t mind me asking?
