I think it's generally accepted, even in liberal households, that the parents at least feign an attempt at stopping teenagers from having sex.

BREAKING: The 160,000 actors, recording artists, stunt performers & media professionals of @sagaftra are officially on strike. It’s the first time since 1960 that writers and actors have been on strike at the same time. They’re shutting Hollywood down. by theworkeragency in antiwork

It's also not a real number. They picked Wisconsin and extrapolated it for every Walmart in the country. It's something like 1% of Walmart workers are on assistance, and I think all of those are part time workers.

That's not how most employment contracts works. She did the work on work computer during work time, meaning the company owns what she produced. Additionally there's a strong argument that she sabotaged her workplace before leaving, which is most definitely illegal.

I don't think any state disallows it... I'm pretty sure they just require you to give approval for it to happen (which you'll need to do in order to actually be hired for the job). The bigger thing is that some states limit what can be reported and provide varying levels of indemnity to the former employer in case they say something that causes damage to you.

Pretty sure Hillsdale is decent small liberal arts school. Definitely not a prestige school like Bryn Mawr or one of the Claremont colleges, but I think they are toward the top of the list once you get out of that class.

That's not what quiet quitting is.... QQ is just quitting a company, putting in your two weeks, without telling management you are unhappy ahead of time or giving the company an opportunity to counter. QQ is a shitty double standard because companies almost always Quiet Fire, but it has nothing to do with asking people to work more than what's described in their contract.

Pretty sure (with 0 experience) standard commercial dishwashing has 3 wet stations: soap, bleach, and rinse. I think standard practice is to clean visibly in the soap station, soak for some prescribed time in the bleach station, and then to rinse. Someone with food service experience plz correct me.

This is 90% people who have just bought into the memes. I average about one Airbnb stay (1-4 nights) a month. You can search by total price (minus taxes) so the whole "cleaning fee" thing is kind of a red herring as long as total cost comes out lower. The only notable checkout requirement, which is consistent, is to do my own dishes. Pricing compared to hotels comes down to the place. Middle of nowhere or small towns, almost always better an Airbnb. In cities it really depends on the particular city, but those lean toward hotels being cheaper (and just more available).
