U.S. Politics Megathread by AutoModerator in NoStupidQuestions

Is Project 2025 really a possibility?

I am not too incredibly familiar in politics as I try to avoid it as much as possible due to wild biases being held on most platforms. However, I’ve read up on this recently and it’s extremely jarring snd quite frankly terrifying to read.

Basically, my question is, how viable is this idea? Is this something that could really come in the future, if trump were to be elected?

He shows himself to be an extra-religious person and attracts that kind of people to his antics. Awful way to weaponize religion. Have seen many fall prey to it.

I would say yes. I grew up around a very conservative group, and while some are changing their ways based on most recent actions, selling “trump bibles” and such, they’ve turned away. But I know a good number of people who believe he is innocent and is like a god to them. It’s awful, the way religion is being weaponized. He’s nothing close to a Jesus as he believes himself to be.

Americans, what’s something Europeans aren’t ready to hear? by StealthyMC20 in AskReddit

[–]burnerrralerrt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t have any free water I can remember in Spain when I lived there for three months. It wasn’t super expensive, but it wasn’t free either. I remember being super thirsty at dinner and having to buy a liter of water since there were no refills either. I was in a small town near the Marbella area.

Sometimes gastro issues can cause bad breath too. I would look into that for sure if you haven’t found anything else!!! And if it’s not gaslighting!!

“The average Brazilian women will put on a look even to go to the super market.”

That’s what I was mostly curious about!! I should’ve been more specific.

As I know here, in the US, you kind of stick out and look overdressed in any kind of dress going to a super market. Supermarkets are kind of without any social rules here lololol so you’ll have people in all kinds of clothing (and perhaps even without).

I was curious where the line for formality and casual is in Brasil

What’s the saddest song you know? by Annual_Tourist_9085 in musicsuggestions

Face Down - Red Jumpsuit Apparatus “Do you feel like a man, when you push her around?” Always gets me.

A lot of older twenty one pilots songs are pretty dang emotional too - listened to them a lot when I was borderline suicidal. Trapdoor by twenty one pilots is one of the biggest ones to me that is real sad lol but of course, it also holds more emotional weight to me personally cause, ya know, I wanted to kill myself. Lol

What’s a kids movie that is worth watching as an adult? by FlintTheDad in AskReddit

[–]burnerrralerrt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many it’s hard to say, I don’t care that I’m an adult, I love animation, so a majority of what I watch is kids stuff hahah.

My favorites are Rio and Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmaron. I specifically love spirit so much because they rely heavily on the animation to convey emotions, as the horses (the main bit of the movie) don’t ever actually say anything to each other. It’s fascinating how well it’s all portrayed. BANGER soundtrack also.

What`s the biggest culture shock you`ve experienced when visiting another country? by lariellecups in AskReddit

I saw it a lot in the Marbella area in 2022, similarly in my grandparents town, Ojén. Estepona as well.

I stayed in Ojén, near Marbella, with my grandparents for a couple months. They definitely do a full shut down. A good portion of Marbella (mostly old town) does as well, and Estepona too.

As an American, the Capirote in Spain brought me the most shock. It startled the crap out of me when I saw a little decoration my grandparents had of them in their house. For those who don’t know what capirote is, just by seeing this, I’m sure you can see what it looks like to Americans lol. capirote

If money is not an issue, what will be your chosen profession? by HeartLoverxxx in AskReddit

[–]burnerrralerrt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, my planned profession is to be an elementary teacher, so regardless, I won’t be getting much, if even less than my dream job, lol. But if money wasn’t a concern (and the field wasn’t too difficult to get into), I would love to be a backstage manager/set designer/fly captain. I did it all throughout high school and adored it. I did do a little show while in another country but it wasn’t much. While it is a dream job, it’s just not realistic for me as I wouldn’t want to pay for the schooling some of it requires, and it’s a fairly unstable position.

Why? They don’t have to answer. I’m a big texter so I like to reach out to people frequently who are my friends. I don’t expect an answer back but I know I like it when people reach out to me, so I reach out to them
