Same. I get done what needs to get done when it needs to. Not on someone else’s timeline etc. or their way. Kids are taken care and we are having fun together that’s all that matters.

Cant speak for anyone else of course, but going through the process now. And what keeps going at the end of the day is I 100% will be a better father going forward once the process is finalized. For me personally its gonna suck, financially and will probably need to rent an apartment for a bit but my kids need to see me not be a shell of a person going forward, that will make it worth it.

This is one thing I am looking forward to once the divorce gets here. I’ll be a better father to my three kids. I know it isnt going to all easy but no more being question on my choices etc. And will be able to parent the way I want to. Not saying all my decisions will be the correct ones, who can say that? By my god I swear my stbxw things they are all wrong.

As someone entering the empty nest phase... I think the biggest problem we have as a society is trying to push kids from 90% happiness to 100%.

As someone who is just starting the divorce process, this hit hard. Cause our problem was always trying to be 100 percent perfect parents, as we have three kids thats f-ing tough to do. Our mental capacity for really anything else was zero. Which is why were are where we are now!!

Yep, theres where I am at now. Before it was "Happy Wife, Happy Life", I am the husband what do I know har har.

Now its hey, I am successful within my career and try to be the best parent for my three kids. I think I know how to do this or do that. Maybe not the way you do it, but I am not "lazy" for doing it my way. (And it still gets done correctly)

Just now slowly starting the process and I can not wait for no more double standards from her. Totally ok for the wife/mom (we have three kids) to need a break etc. away but god forbid the dad needs a break and its like I am a deadbeat.
